The big 1.2 patch for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PS5 and, well, you're probably going to need to set aside quite a bit of time to download it. This scribe's PS5 Pro has pulled the update, and it's weighing in at 55GB so the game can be patched up to version number..
Given the enormous list of patch notes on the official Kingdom Come website, this is indeed a considerable update to the RPG, with a new barber feature and loads of other tweaks and additions. However, a 55GB update is quite the ask.
The first of many planned free updates, the patch is "the culmination of five months of work dedicated to refining and improving the Kingdom Come: Deliverance II experience. This comprehensive update delivers over 1,000 fixes and improvements, spanning gameplay balance, NPC behavior, environmental improvements, and equipment adjustments."

As for giving Henry a haircut, taking him to the barbers lets you customise his style and beard, from being completely clean shaven to a full beard. No matter which option you choose, Henry will get a temporary charisma boost thanks to the new look — no matter how good or bad it might be. I started the first one last week and it is a great game, enjoying it a lot.
"Items in player's stash now keep their stolen item marker« - not a fan of this, if it means items always have stolen tag.

@Elodin No it means to lose the stolen status you have to keep them in your inventory now.
Is the 55GB actually added to the game size though, or is it like most updates that patch over existing things?
@DennisReynolds ahh that's better. I still like the old way, as time is the discerning factor, not where it is kept. Thanks for the info

@thefourfoldroot1 yeah it doesn't actually add to the existing size of the game , like you said files get replaced
@thefourfoldroot1 Just replacing, the size might see a few gigs added but the majority of the download is just replacing files.
@Cornpop76 it's just more polished,who doesn't want the game of the year to be better, it was completely fine originally ,its not a cyberpunk situation.

@lazarus11 Its fine for the most part but the Kutterberg map and side of the game can be pretty buggy at times and has caused me to reload a previous save more then once.
Time for Henry to get a fresh Kuttenberg cut.
@DennisReynolds yeah me to and I've just got locked out of my room again and had to break in, I forgive inconveniences though with a game of this complexity, must be really difficult to iron out everything, there's only so many variables they can predict at this early stage.

Typical.... The day after I finish the story it gets an update. I'll never learn not to b a Playtester...
55 gigs is quite large for a patch but warzones patches are usually even larger so this really is nothing out of the ordinary.
That is some pretty impressive post launch support.
I still gotta buy then play the first game and chip away at it. Both games look amazing and right up my alley. So glad that this game has been met with critical acclaim AND pretty massive/at least big financial success. A lot of the times, it’s just the former which sucks for great developers. Kinda happy I’m late to the party because I’ll get a more “definitive”/polished version when I do end up playing

My Henry keeps losing his beard as soon as he puts his helmet on 🙃 Also got kicked in the face if playing dice till late (because he didn't light the torch when it was daytime).
