Release Date: 14th Feb 2020 (USA) / 14th Feb 2020 (UK/EU)

Media Molecule has spent the entirety of PS4's life developing Dreams, but it turns out the wait was worth it. The studio has made a near limitless creative toolset that gives players the power to make pretty much anything. Something so ambitious could've easily been a disaster, but the developer has pulled it off with an incredible game-making suite that's about as intuitive as can be. That's not to mention the brilliant Art's Dream story, or the thousands of mightily impressive community creations already available. For those looking to stretch their creative muscles, or just play something completely unique, Dreams delivers on all fronts.

Until Dawn (PS4)
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment / Developer: Supermassive Games
Release Date: 25th Aug 2015 (USA) / 28th Aug 2015 (UK/EU)
Available On: PS+ Collection (Until 9th May 2023) / PS+ Extra

In a similar vein to Quantic Dream's narrative adventures, Until Dawn offers up a ton of possible endings to a game all about schlocky horror flicks. Control is passed between several adolescents as they try to survive in a secluded cabin in the mountains. It's a potent mix of teen drama and slasher film that'll have you jumping out of your seat. This is a highly entertaining experience, and exclusive to PS4.

Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment / Developer: Bend Studio
Release Date: 26th Apr 2019 (USA) / 26th Apr 2019 (UK/EU)
Available On: PS+ Collection (Until 9th May 2023) / PS+ Extra

On paper, Days Gone is a dangerously derivative game, claiming every open world cliché to its name. Zombie-like baddies infest a post-apocalyptic world, and you'll need to use anything at your disposal to survive — stop us if you've heard this before. But scratch beneath the surface and this undead adventure involving bikers has a real PS2-era heart, with likeable characters and an entertaining gameplay loop that evolves the more you invest. It’s not the most original release in Sony’s stable, but we still recommend you ride the broken road at some point.

Release Date: 8th Oct 2019 (USA) / 9th Oct 2019 (UK/EU)
Available On: PS+ Extra

Pixelopus might be one of Sony's youngest and smallest studios, but with Concrete Genie, it's proved it can hang with the big boys. The action adventure is one of Sony's more unique games of the PS4 generation, featuring colourful stylistic visuals and a heartfelt story. Best of all is its wonderful painting mechanic, which allows you to blanket the abandoned town of Denska with beautiful murals of your own creation. It allows for creative expression while keeping everything cohesive, and it's a relaxing experience you won't find anywhere else.

Forget about Killzone, because Guerrilla Games has moved on to something bigger and better with Horizon Zero Dawn. You play as Aloy, a hunter living in a post-post apocalyptic world in which machines have taken over. You'll battle them, fill out a skill tree full of passive and active abilities, and explore a map that's breathtakingly beautiful. RPG elements flesh things out further, making it one of the best open world titles on PS4.
