Can't wait for this. Sucker punch is one of my favorite Sony subsidiaries and after what they've accomplished with the Sly Cooper trilogy and the Infamous games, I'm interested to see their take on feudal japan.
Sad to see it got bad ratings here. I personally think this game is a masterpiece.
This is the only game where the NPC follows your speed. You run, they run. You walk, they walk. This subtle thing changes a lot!
Another important detail most overlook is PS4 Hardware capabilities. The PS4 Pro is like a Jet Engine while playing this. Giving it more general and water texture would ruin the PS4's hardware in the long run. I kind of believe the PS5 version of it will have much much better graphics.
Lastly, yes, there are some flaws. I cannot deny it. A game this big is bound to have flaws. Every Game of the Year has flaws. Doesn't make it bad. The amount of work they put into the game truly shows up. On a personal preference, I liked how The Witcher 3 ALWAYS had a choice in stories, whether it be main or side. They could've implemented that on the game. Another would be, a better map for inside cities. Finding where a certain merchant is always difficult for me. But that's just me.
