So I just finished watching Resident evil and I say this as a big RE fan, I'm very conflicted. To start with Zach is great director I liked how the whole movie was shot, don't think I could ever question that. He came out in press conferences saying RE4 influenced him the most, but to me it felt like Outbreak file 1+2 level, which I will say is a good thing Outbreak needs more attention (give us a remaster Capcom). Unfortunately I didn't like any of the enemy designs at all like where did he get the tentacles from? , and oh boy the final act was not it, way too much humour and no pay off, anyway I would still it's my favourite RE movie, but doesn't mean much considering it's competition....
