@GirlVersusGame , ah, sorry. I thought it was similar to Romper Stomper. I just remember the ear scene in Chopper, but it has been a long time since I saw it.
@DrVenture69 All good, I watched Romper Stomper to try to understand that hate mentality, it still made no sense. American History X was in my opinion a better Teacher, I can't imagine anyone but Edward Norton pulling it off. He has a fudge you speech you might not know.
25th Hour, he said fudge you to my People too, to everyone. It's a very harsh scene but it's an amazing performance. It's a really good movie, I don't hear it mentioned much.

@Neuromancer You might like Once Were Warriors. It's based on the 1990 novel by Alan Duff, about a MΔori Family suffering through domestic abuse, gang affiliation and poverty. It stars Temuera Morrison, he plays one of the Fetts in StarWars. It's a heavy watch but a really good one. That song 'what's the time Mr wolf' is burned into my mind, I watched it again a couple of months ago, the sequel too.
Even the trailer is rough, and probably age-restricted.
Because Spotify greyed it out for me again.
Damn Resident Evil has a 97% rating on rotten tomatoes?!? I know I've been skepical on this ever since it first got shown but I was always going to watch it and if it actually turns out that reviews are correct then I'll happily be wrong on this occasion.
@Oram77 Seeing it tonight and I am stokedπ I've become a huge fan of Cregger's after Weapons and I'm not that vested in Resi lore, so I might be the perfect target for his version of this (though I've read many say that even though there are no characters from the games present, it very much feels like a proper Resi movie.
Martin Mcdonagh's latest Wild Horse Nine looks set to be another hit, too. I thought it was worth mentioning as a lot of people here like his work, and, to me, John Malkovic plus Sam Rockwell = "yes, please" even if it wasn't guided by a Mcdonagh script. But it is, and thus it is even more perfect for those of us this way inclined.

@FuriousMachine it has got to the point where even the trailer makes me think "that's In Bruges, that's Banshees, that's the Guard etc etc" Mcdonagh is up there with the Coen's and Tarantino in terms of that recognisable brand and style, now. Familiar but new, maybe it is his opus, certainly for his american cast releases. The crossover between Coen's and Mcdonagh continues, too. Malkovic in Burn After Reading is awesome, and this feels like he gets to do more of that kind of thing again π
Was there a reason for not watching Banshees? I feel like we maybe discussed it once. I don't think it got a 4k release, but it has has a blu-ray, and it was on Disney originally, I believe. I definitely recommend it.
@Ravix It looks good, welcome back from the land of Witcher Come Deliverance. I see Henry is still sporting his Alice Cooper look. Which by the way like I told Northern_Munkey is about to tour England with his new book. I don't know if he's your thing, the press-kit said he'll be speaking too. I probably won't go but I will see about getting some things signed, I have the Wayne's World vinyl, it's a good fit.
