@MaulTsir I agree on fishing games. Why every game has to have a fishing mini-game is beyond me. Especially JRPGs seem to be obsessed with fishing. But even some Western games like RDR2 can’t help but create fishing filler. Even though I lean toward the obsessive-compulsive side of things when I play my games and try to do everything and do every side quest, I usually skip the fishing if at all possible.

@Jimmer-jammer The original had great story and writing but was kinda janky. This one improves upon it in every aspect (to nobody's surprise, I suppose).
@Voltan I knew the new gen version of the game was an Xbox exclusive, so I wasn't aware until now that it eventually got an actual PS5 patch. I guess it still is considered a PS4 game by the trophy list and such, but I'm guessing it's probably close to the Series X version now. So, yeah, close enough.

@KilloWertz I believe they increased the resolution on PS5 at some point. Not sure about the exact numbers but yeah, it's probably pretty close. Still no DualSense features or Tempest audio as it's still technically a PS4 game, of course.
@Voltan I'll admit I didn't look too hard, but the article I found after you mentioned that it got a patch in November for the PS5 did say it got a resolution upgrade. Just not what it was, but no big deal. I'm sure it still looks good.
I do enjoy some good 3D audio with my headphones, but yeah, obviously it still wouldn't have that or DualSense features. Granted I'm not a fan of the original game, so it doesn't matter to me in the end, but that's beside the point.

@Jimmer-jammer glad to hear we got another Ghostwire Tokyo fan. I feel the game is severely underrated and maybe it's because people thought it was some sort of action game, while it's so much more than that. The whole mythological atmosphere is superbly done and also gave me a look into Japanese culture and stuff I didn't know. I looked up a lot the names of the creatures since I never heard the name before.
The whole idea about helping ghosts with unfinished business before they go is such an Important part of the game overall, not only in the side quests.
If you really take your time and explore all the little things in this game you see so much more than just hunting spirits in Shibuya. So I hope everyone else who is going to play this game also plays it more in a relaxing way and let's the deeper meaning of it all sink in
I'll have to add Ghostwire: Tokyo to my list at some point. Between having a lot of other games to play and the mixed reactions it got at release, I put it off, but I'll have to reconsider that. The physical version is on sale for $29.99, which is tempting, but I still might not play it for a while. It might drop even lower at some point like Deathloop did, and maybe I'd be ready to play it by then.

eFootball has introduced its pay-to-win mechanics and like a flash, the game is basically unplayable online. You can literally just pay money for overpowered Messi and Neymar, along with many other highly rated players. Just destroyed the game’s balance overnight.
The guy I played there had Viera, Roberto Carlos, Puyol, Neymar, Lewandowski etc. It’s remarkable how they’ve taken a decent concept that does away with the traditional lootbox system and turned it into one of the worst implementations of battle passes I’ve ever seen.
Started Resi 8 or Village if you prefer last night.
Quite an intense beginning and some spooky bits. It looks and runs really well and excited to get stuck into something so different from my previous game (Cyberpunk), other than first person view of course.
I was tempted to leave it until the new update in October but realised I could always replay it in third person view.
@Col_McCafferty@Th3solution@Voltan I've got Village to play still but having played Resi 7 I think I might be tempted to stick with first person. I don't generally enjoy that view but it really does increase the intensity of fear that I'd imagine would be lost with a third person view.
Perhaps like you say Col it might be one you could play in both settings to see how different the experience is.
@Voltan@render@Th3solution@Col_McCafferty I'm probably one of the weird ones, and I don't really have a preference between first and third person perspectives generally in video games. But I do prefer the view point in RE7 and RE8, as Render says I find it adds to the scares and intensity of the games.
