Thanks and yes very much so. On harder difficulties I had just overpowered the weapons to such an extent that most things were dead before they could pose a problem. Couple of the bosses were problematic though - on one of them I failed 19 times in quick succession before squeaking through!

So I might have been abstaining from tasting that sweet-sweet platinum flavour for quite the while… but I did make level 400 today 🥳

@MB81 Have you got it? As I just got the platinum. Equip element+fire Materia to 2 of your characters in the linked armour slot. I went cloud & Tifa. The close range fire does no damage or heals you, as does the grab. It’s also incredibly useful against Bahamut as once Ifrit is summoned he heals 2/3 of your party.

Platinum #30 Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
In my first play through I picked up most of the trophies normally. Just did everything I can. Getting the princess dress trophy was annoying as I had to replay several chapters over & over again. Completely unnecessary.

I was able to get the rest in just one hard mode play through. I worried at first as I struggled against the 1st boss as there are no items & mana recovery. Most difficult bosses for me where definitely Hell House, Bahamut & Ifrit & chapter 17 in general on hard.

congrats on the Platinum. to be honest it’s Bahamut that is the problem. Actually I’ve only tried it 4-5 times so far. I’m following a YouTube tutorial that uses a high damage build. In fact if you do it right you don’t take any damage at all! Just keep in building ATP and hitting with -agas. Hopefully won’t take too many tries.

@MB81 Thanks & good luck! I did see that video but not watched it. Might give it a watch later today. As soon as I see no damage I just think Dark Souls, I frames & insane dodges.
If it doesn’t work try the defensive route.
@RogerRoger Ayyy got my age in platinum trophies now.
@colonelkilgore I’m afraid to say the mini games gave me far more trouble than the game. I think I spent 3 hours on pull ups (not even joking). @sorteddan Whoever came up with that hard mode boss fight deserves a special place in h*ll. Thankfully poison works on him so I cheesed it for the most part.

I like to occasionally checkup my trophy stats on PSNProfiles and my recent endeavours have resulted in my most productive month of trophy collecting ever. Smashed my previous best of 200 in Apr '17 with 312 trophies this month (with a few days to go).

@BearsEatBeets interesting stats there and well done on achieving all those shineys this month. I still ain’t signed up to PSNProfiles but I think that will probably make an effort to join after I hit the century or some time thereafter.

@colonelkilgore I've not made an account on the site, I just put my username in the homepage for update and then click on my profile. I don't sign in or anything, I'm not sure what else you get for making an account but I'm happy enough just checking the info every now and then.

Finally beat the Pride and Joy mission! 3 long sessions and I beat it after finding a killer guide. Great feeling to get that trophy. Now just last two chapters on hard.
A PSN Profiles account is great, well worth the signup.

@RogerRoger Glad to see you enjoyed it! I’m looking forward to reading your review but I think I might wait until I play the game first just so that I make my own mind up about it! That screenshot is really nice though, I’m loving that Robin outfit.

Congrats @RogerRoger and glad you enjoyed it. I’m actually considering picking this up now at some point, having read what the gamers have said about the game rather than the media. Sounds an enjoyable experience, and I’ve played and enjoyed games that I’ve considered far less quality than a solid 9.
