If you're at all interested in gaming history, you shouldn't overlook this one.

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes PS5
$12.49/£9.49 (-50%)
Lorelei and the Laser Eyes is a fascinating, surreal web of puzzles that feels great to unpick. You explore a mysterious hotel, with every room presenting you with locked doors and a host of environmental oddities to figure out. Presented in black and white (with the occasional streak of hot pink), this is a striking puzzle adventure that goes far deeper than you might expect.
Lumines Arise PS5
$27.99/£24.49 (-30%)
Like Tetris Effect before it, Lumines Arise reinvigorates a classic puzzle series with spectacular new visuals, a brilliant soundtrack, and imaginative extra features. Playable with or without PSVR2, this music-driven puzzler goes well beyond its core Journey mode, expanding the series with robust training missions, varied challenges, and better-than-ever multiplayer features.
Mixtape PS5
$14.99/£11.61 (-25%)
Through utterly superb set-pieces, gorgeous visual design, and an impactful soundtrack, Mixtape crafts one of the most meaningful story games in a long time. It’s beautiful to look at, a joy to listen to, and so enjoyable to play — altogether, Mixtape is a sensational achievement.
Mortal Shell 2 PS5
$37.49/£33.74 (-25%)
Mortal Shell 2 is a soulslike that cuts to the chase. It’s home to a stuffed interconnected world with a wide variety of enemies, dungeons, and little secrets, which make it a delight to explore. Each discovery of a new shell, weapon, or sidearm meaningfully impacts your playstyle, and levelling up is a fun and satisfying process. It's overall a brilliant new addition to the genre and, by all accounts, a far improved sequel.
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound PS5
$12.49/£9.99 (-50%)
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound brings the series back to its roots with incredible style. The core gameplay feels fantastic, with satisfying, fast-paced combat and platforming that'll put your skills to the test. With a wealth of challenges to meet and things to find, there's a real richness to each level that gives it plenty of replay value. The wonderful art style is the icing on the cake, and aside from one or two small nitpicks, fans should be very pleased with this throwback adventure.
Paradise Killer PS5
$4.99/£3.99 (-75%)
If you're looking for something wildly different, Paradise Killer is a fantastic option. This game places you down on an open world island in order to solve the mystery surrounding a mass murder. The hook is that the end result is entirely of your making; you're free to explore, talk to suspects, and find evidence, with no hints other than your own discoveries. More than any other detective game, this one gives you total agency over the investigation and the trial that follows, with full responsibility for tracking down the truth resting with you. A fascinating, well-written game that oozes with style to boot — especially on PS5, where neat DualSense use and ray tracing bring the island alive.
Pistol Whip PS5
$13.49/£11.24 (-55%)
Rhythm games and virtual reality go together wonderfully, and one of the best examples of that is Pistol Whip. Revamped for PSVR2's bells and whistles, this flashy game is essentially an on-rails shooter set to music. It's a simple idea but executed so well, oozing style and allowing the player to pull off some super cool moves. Firing your guns to the beat and dodging incoming attacks with perfect timing is endlessly satisfying, and the Hollywood-inspired levels are all a treat to look at, too.
PowerWash Simulator 2 PS5
$18.74/£14.99 (-25%)
Despite a few improvements and new features, PowerWash Simulator 2 doesn't really grow too much beyond what came before — but that relaxing, moreish core is still very much there. Hosing down vehicles, buildings, and entire facilities is still super satisfying, and there might not be a better podcast game on the market. It's excellent if you're just looking to switch your brain off for a while.
Sayonara Wild Hearts PS4
$6.49/£3.99 (-50%)
There aren't really any other games quite like Sayonara Wild Hearts, a fast-paced arcade title set to a series of catchy electronic tunes. Following a vague storyline about a character figuring out who they are, this dream-like experience is only a couple of hours long, but folds in various challenges and high scores to strive for to extend its appeal.
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew PS5
$9.99/£8.74 (-75%)
This real-time strategy game flew way under the radar for many, but it's another great title from the makers of Desperados III and Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun. With a pirate theme, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew has you command a growing selection of supernatural sailors, each with their own abilities that complement each other. There is a variety of valid approaches to each mission, and its forgiving time rewind function means it does away with any frustration. If you're a fan of strategy titles, this should be on your radar.
Silent Hill 2 PS5
$19.59/£16.79 (-72%)
Comfortably one of the greatest remakes around — especially when you narrow it down to the survival horror genre — Silent Hill 2 is a triumph of a resurrection from Bloober Team and Konami. The vast majority of the original PS2 masterpiece is faithfully brought back with modern visuals and gameplay design, and then expanded upon in all the right ways with bigger areas to explore and then new endings. Silent Hill 2 remains just as incredible as it did back in 2001 thanks to the delicate and appreciated work of Bloober Team.
Silent Hill F PS5
$19.59/£15.39 (-72%)
Silent Hill F takes the survival horror series in a new direction, which pays off for the most part. It’s quite different, and hardcore fans will have to accept that. Combat is a heavy focus, and the move to Japan means there’s a different kind of tone and atmosphere in the air. Technical problems aside, it marks a bold new chapter in the Silent Hill saga. Accept it for what it is, and you’ll find one of PS5’s most intense experiences.

Uh oh
Absolum is the best rogue like games I ever play I l💚ve beat em up video games 😍 and the graphics. The gameplay. The story.the soundtracks and boss fights are all incredible. Word up son
I implore everyone to pick up SIlent Hill f for that price, one of my favourites in the franchise.
There goes my wallet! Watch him as he goes!!
Tempted by Silent Hill f even though I'll have no time to play it. But at that price I highly expect it to show on Plus in the next few months.
No sale prices for Returnal, no Dead Nation Apocalypse edition, no Killzone Shadowfall, no God of War Remastered, no Avatar From The Ashes Expansion... Sony continue to push people toward emulation and other 'non official' gaming methods. They should take note of Steam sales which are frequently excellent by comparison.
Likely the same games that are always on sale. I feel my wishlist has barely moved in ages, other than new games getting added.
To expressive for a rental
007 for $40 is about to be a steal. The good news about so many games coming out worth playing is you no longer have to buy most of them day 1 and save yourself some money for how quick they all go on sale. Mixtape sitting at a 9/10 still makes me laugh, lol.
Unfortunately for the games on my wishlist, this sale is seriously underwhelming. My wallet can rest easy this black Friday apparently.
Why have you not recommended <insert job title> Simulator?
Astro Bot shows $39.59 until i log in, then it's 33.59$, with no additional discount mentioned (PS+ etc)...
The sale for 007 looks good but probably gonna hold off a bit and see what’s added closer to Black Friday.
Not sure if it's just me, but those Push Square Code links for PS Top Up cards seem to be leading to an Xbox code site...
Wait.. Madden 27 is not going on sale?
I am torn. This is not a great discount for Control:Resonant, and I have no real interest in the deluxe edition. But this is the game I really want to play during my holiday time off work, and the price here is at least a couple bucks off what I would pay for the standard edition.
Ugh. I will probably just pay. I am old, so playing when I want is more important than the size of the discount. And, it is always good to support Remedy. I was just hoping for a few more dollars off…….
Already got Penny's Big Breakaway, Silent Hill F and Trails in the Sky Chapter1. Always wanted to play those so I pulled the plug and got them. Currently playing Phantom Blade 0 though and having a blast
@Stonecold730 I'm sure it will be on sale closer to Black Friday. There will be other games added I'm pretty sure the week prior to Black Friday
Anybody who has not played ball X pit yet really should grab this. Its just a brilliant game and any self respecting PlayStation owner should have it. Addictive as hell.
It's that time of year where I look at games I still have in my backlog that I bought at full price, when all I had to do was wait... stares at The Alters
Quick question regarding the "Technical problems aside" comment for silent hill f: I was under the impression that the technical issues were on the pro before the update to pssr2. Thought everything was cool now technically. No?
@UnhappyPScustomer That's right, it runs well and looks great on Pro. Purchased it in the sale and played a couple of hours, well worth the price
These recommendations aren't great but I got tainted grail for €17.50 and said I'd also give mech warrior 5 a go for €6
Naming a piece of trash like indika in this list, corrupts it completely...
No normal gamer would that propaganda piece of *****
anyone tried that Battle Chef? look interesting, for 1,99 might be good "investment"
@Northern_munkey It is fun but I don't know why, I played it for a bit on Xbox Series X and was pretty good at the game, yet now I have picked up the game again on PS5 Pro, I am so rubbish at it, I can't even do the first stage to the end! 🤭
@Ellie-Moo once you get a few characters unlocked and start building your base up it gets better. I platinumed it but I still play it on occasion. I've just pre ordered warhammer survivors which looks like it's going to be great fun.
@playstation1995
I got to ask.., why do you end every single comment with “Word up son”?
I’ve thought about asking before, then I thought now; “just ask” 😁
I picked up Synapse for PSVR2. Under $6, so why not? Has a 77 Metacritic reviews and 86 Metacritic user score.
