Persona 30th Anniversary Stream

We hope you like merchandise, because that's probably all you're getting from Atlus' first Persona 30th Anniversary livestream.

As previously reported, the broadcast will take place on the 8th January, ushering in a year of Persona-related updates and announcements. However, Atlus has now confirmed that said broadcast will feature "merchandise and event news" specifically.

Now, while we might be treated to some interesting info on upcoming events — like additional, hopefully game-based livestreams — this totally sounds like the kind of broadcast that'll hold very little value for regular fans of the series (again, unless you're massively into merch).

To be real, though, are we actually expecting anything substantial from these 30th anniversary updates in the first place?

We'll get news on Persona 4 Revival at some point — that's all but guaranteed — but even then, the game itself isn't expected to launch until 2027, as per SEGA's financials from last year.

So with that in mind, we'd put any hopes of Persona 6, or even any major surprises, on ice until we get a proper read on what these broadcasts are all about.
