Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has finally been revealed in full, and we have our first glimpse at this new game from Respawn Entertainment. The above trailer focuses on setting up the story and the world, introducing us to the player character, Cal Kestis. He's a survivor of Order 66, in which almost all Jedi were wiped out, and he has to keep his powers concealed in order to stay alive in a world that wants him dead.
We don't get a whole lot of gameplay details from the video, although it looks like wall running is in. The fighting is described by Stig Asmussen as "thoughtful", meaning that you'll have to utilise everything at your disposal and judge your enemy's movements as you battle.

Pretty awesome. Like I said, this is already my most anticipated game this year.
Day one.
Yeah, I'm in.
@Quintumply November 15 2019 release date, too.
Wow, you know what? I'm more excited for this then the last film and it's gone straight to the top of my wanted list, story looks great so far and I cant wait to see more. Never thought I'd say that about an EA game
I will probably have to wait till Xmas but I'm stoked for this one.
Still time to EA it up.
I'll see how EA mess this one up too.
Excellent trailer, loved it 👍👍👍
Does it have an easy mode?
@Gremio108 Only if you pre-order now.
@Splat Scarily plausible
Good trailer. I'm still annoyed they didn't show gameplay.
Apparently when EA brought Respawn Vince got a seat on the board of EA so that's probably why they seem to be only studio that isn't messed around. There is hope, a new hope.
The trailer looked interesting, but i need to see the gameplay!
Who am I kidding, Star Wars = I’m in!
Cool but disappointed af...no gameplay is a big no no. I get nothing out of cg trailers or 'in engine trailers' these days...
@Splat pre-Order 66 ☺️
Show me some gameplay, and then I may get excited.
Trust No One, even EA It could be good tho
Eh, not a Starwars fan and combined with no gameplay means I couldn’t care less at the moment. Could well change in the future though! No doubt SW fans will be happy!
New theory: Cal is Snoke.
I'm hoping this is a third person game.
I’ll never understand gamers that enjoy video game reveal videos that contain absolutely zero gameplay. Oh, well, hopefully this will turn out well.
In respawn we trust. It looks great. Let's hope!
Fantastic! SP 3rd person adventure. Trailer excellent and prime time Black Friday season. I’m in.
Still need to see gameplay, but this seems promising. I don't trust EA, though. We'll see what happens.
Could EA actually be getting something right?!
looking good.great graphics.word up son
feels kinda similar story to jedi knight 2 jedi outcast
Looks good EA, but -
Be careful not to choke on your aspirations.
Trailer looks cool. It's hard to form a solid opinion though without any gameplay, but it's Respawn so i trust they wont mess it up. Single player and no microtransactions means I'm excited to find out more.
I'm getting bad Vaan vibes from that lead character.
I just can't deal with Ian from Shameless being the lead. That might be the thing that keeps me from buying this game 😂
I really like the dark tone of the trailer and the apparent quality of the storytelling on display. But the absence of gameplay footage really bothers me. Still, given Respawn’s history, I’m choosing to remain upbeat. Getting a high quality Star Wars game would be a great way to end the year.
It looks good, but I've had about a dozen beers or so, I hope it still looks good tomorrow, even better yet, I hope it still looks good six months from now.
If it wasn't for the fact that EA publishes the game I'd be more hyped for this than Episode IX. As it stands, I expect both to be meh. This trailer was a great teaser, though, have to give credit where it's due. Just unfortunate one of the most despicable companies on the face of the Earth is in control of it.
You gotta give it to Disney. I always thought Star Wars was going to die out eventually when the older 80's and 90's fan base die off. But it has done brilliant to capture the modern generation too.
This trailer did nothing to excite me. The game looks bland and I not even sure what genre of game this will be.
going by battlefront 1 & 2, solo, books, comics, & the last jedi this generation for star wars has been completely hell. even the prequel era was better..@GarySan
Pass, the protagonist reminds me of Hayden Christensen.XD Joking aside, I'll wait to see some gameplay first.
@AFCC There is a lot of time between now and November for game play to be shown
@NinjaWaddleDee it is confirmed to be 3rd person
Looks interesting, but... EA.
I like the story / setting but it was some crappy reveal with no gameplay. Wasted my time watching that thing live.
I still have no idea how you play.
Meh I'd much rather see gameplay than CG I hate that so some studios have gone back to those trailers
Yeah it looks cool but as a trailer for a game, it doesn’t really show you anything about how it plays, so bit of a waste of time.
It looks great so far. It's EA though, so I'm not going to get too excited until after the game releases just in case they somehow mess this up.
Does it stand out? No - at least not from a Narrative perspective. Visually too - although I will reserve judgement until we get actual game-play. However, with DICE and their Battlefront games, a visual bar has been set very high - also the Audio of those games was very high too.
With this game offering 'just' a Single Player narrative driven game, I do hope its not like Battlefront 2's or the last couple of Battlefield games - even Titanfall 2's campaign in terms of length and more in keeping with games like God of War. I would be disappointed to pay £50 for a 4-8hr game.
I know some will say that length doesn't matter, especially if its a 'good' story but I don't want to buy a game for £50 and finish it the same day. I would rather buy a game that offers 100hrs with much more to do and a weaker story (50p per hour) than a 5hr excellent story (£10 per hour) and have nothing to keep me entertained for the rest of the month. I would rather wait until that excellent story becomes available for a LOT less money - which it inevitably will as ALL games drop in price.
There are still unknowns though so I am not making any assumptions, not writing this game off or putting a pre-order in just yet. It still has time to sell this to me, give me a reason to buy and if so at which point I should jump in - at launch? soon after launch? when it drops to 50% price? leave entirely? November is still 7months away to convince me.
@BAMozzy Yep I dislike short games because games are expensive. GoW was a bit short for me even. And I don't really care for games that are a ways off, I like to focus on the now, like Days Gone. I highly anticipated Mafia 3 but what happened it was still not better than the game I double-dipped and had since 2013 - GTAV, and there's still NO challenger, in terms open worlds with cars. And people wonder why it's still selling...smh.
Wow, tell us something we didn't know. It's a Star Wars game, with a hero played by you. Love Star Wars and the fact Respawn is at the helm is great but agree with others about how EA will micro manage and could mess this up. Gameplay footage would have been nice since that's what most would have wanted to see. Let's just hope and pray that this is not hyped to an inch of its life then becomes the disappointment that so many previous Star Wars games have become bar a few exceptions. Still hoping for an open world Star Wars game in the vien of Horizon Zero Dawn or Assasins creed Odyssey though.
@Sinton Now you know how easy it is to make the singleplayer crowd happy. 😁
Im not hyped but its the first EA game in long time im looking forward to hear about. 😉
@Bliquid He is that dude that plays the joker ok cool.
Dang, that guy's using lots of glue to keep his hairstyle like that!
@Flaming_Kaiser Yeah, I’d like a great single player Star Wars game, so hopefully it turns out great. But I prefer playing games to watching cut scenes, so this trailer did nothing for me.
trailer doesn't even give you a sense of what type of game it will be, so doesn't instil a lot of enthusiasm for me. will it be more battlefront-like shooter, or 3rd person lightsabers and force powers like star wars unleashed?. respawn itself doesn't have a lot of history with single player campaigns.. titanfall 2 is very short, even shorter that The Order 1886 and that got lambasted for being short and having no replay value, and i hope it's not being rushed out to cash in on being in stores in time for the release of The Rise of Skywalker.
Only thing I'd say is that the main character looks painfully generic. Otherwise pretty excited and looking forward to seeing some proper gameplay!
that trailer was just ok to me but I'm going to support it so EA will start supporting SP again I hope.
I do think it will get better once we see gameplay👍👍
Dead Space Reboot come on EA please Mercenaries Reboot as well.
@Sinton The same i love to see gameplay but i always loved it when i got cutscenes with Final Fantasy on the Playstation 1. 😁
@mvhess no gameplay no hype, my friend.
