As the classic Offspring yodel goes: as long as you’re swinging strong then you’ll get by. Spider-Man must take these lessons to heart, as it suits up and prepares to thwip into its third successive E3 press conference. Unlike the other “deep dives” that Sony’s promised, we’ve seen a lot more of Insomniac Games’ smash than any of its other games – heck, it was on the cover of Game Informer only a couple of months ago.
But I still get the sense there’s lots to reveal. We’ve seen a few villains, from Shocker to Kingpin, but much of the PlayStation 4 exclusive’s media has centred on deep-cut crook Mister Negative. While he’s certainly an interesting inclusion and the kind of character that will have comic fans kissing their Doc Ock duvets, I’d like confirmation that this is going to be a Batman: Arkham-esque adventure, with a who’s who of villains.
Now obviously I don’t want everything to be spoiled on stage, but I think E3 2018 is the time to really show off some uninterrupted gameplay of the new Spider-Man game. We’ve seen snippets, for sure, but even the aforementioned Game Informer coverage was limited to short clips. I want to see Peter Parker navigating Manhattan, before switching to his alter-ego and exploring the open world; I want to see some side-quests, leading into perhaps a boss fight.
The crazy thing is, Spider-Man is approximately three months away, so it’s time now to start the hype cycle. Yes, we’ve seen the game before and we already know a fair amount about it, but there are few better ways to kickstart a title's marketing campaign than with a killer press conference showing. And for Insomniac Games, this is its opportunity. Let’s hope it’s selected the right cross-section of gameplay to get our spider-senses truly tingling.

I've seen enough of spider-man on game informer coverage, it's insomniac, it's spider-man. Day 1
Can you imagine how many consoles this title alone is gonna sell?
Me want Carnage.
It's a day one buy for me regardless. If nothing else it will be a good game and it's been too long since we could say that about a Spider-Man game.
Why spoil the surprise if other enemies are in the game? I have seen enough already and know 'enough' about the game inc other activities etc - too much more and I will not need to play it...
I have had the game pre-ordered for over a year now anyway!

@BAMozzy Well, they don't have to reveal them all, but I'd like to know there's more proper villains than just Mister Negative. They have to show something.

@JoeBlogs I think they've already said there'll be more TBH. So yeah, they're not going to have everyone in this game.

@SMKpaladin @Rudy_Manchego Insomniac already said there's no symbiote in this game (in game informer interview), maybe in the sequel.
I wouldn't mind seeing more gameplay, but I doubt they really need to show much. People are already sold enough on the game, anything more would be for hype.
As for villains, Kraven was always a favorite of mine.

Villains that are confirmed so far are Kingpin, Shocker, Mr Negative and Taskmaster. While Norman Osborne is in the game I'll be surprised if he turns out to be the main bad guy (just seems like something they'll leave for a sequel).
Worth bearing in mind that the collectors edition statue hasn't been fully revealed due to story spoilers. Maybe this is why.
Just bring Kingpin & I'm good.
On an unrelated note.. we have 46 minutes before we find out about a new PS4 game with PSVR support.
@Rudy_Manchego I hope the movie is good, venom is my favourite spider-man villain, spider-man 3 venom is dissappointing.

For once I would love to see a open world game showcase more of NY than just Manhattan, I'm really getting sick and tired of Manhattan being the focal point of every game based in NY.

I've seen more than enough. I've already gotten to the point of avoiding any news a while ago. Already pre-ordered the digital deluxe version. I'm all in.
the issue i have is not the villians. it's spiderman, to me he's always seemed like a bit of d**k... and if his portrayal is anything like it's been in other media, i'm not sure i could sit through 20+ hours of that. it's at least half the reason i gave up fairly on in infamous second son.. just couldn't warm to delsin at all.
Another epic trailer and some gameplay of a mission will be enough, Insomniac will probably announce some more enemies and details of the dlc. Maybe the whole statue of the collector's edition will be revealed as well, probably another surprise.
@SlimDrizzyLamar @AFCC Same here, Mysterio hasn't been in a Spider-Man video game since Shattered Dimensions.
