Days Gone made not one but two appearances during Sony’s E3 press conference last year, and word is it’ll appear in a “big way” during this year’s showcase. Actor Sam Witwer who plays the lead character teased the appearance as part of a Twitch stream, but naturally stopped short of sharing any details.
With developer Sony Bend going dark for the past 12 months, though, we’re expecting a pretty meaty demo from the open world zombie game. We’re still yet to see how the motorbike will be integrated into the gameplay, for example, and how the title’s survival format will be structured. Could we also get a release date?

Zombie Attttaaaccckkk...
But seriously, this is one game I want to see more of, especially if there is a possible release in the next 6-8 months. I'm still unsure of what type of game, though the zombie horde moved it onto my wish list rankings.
@Rudy_Manchego Open world survival game. From what I understand, you're going to be driving around on your motorbike, completing missions and scavenging for resources that you can use to craft new weapons/motorbike parts/etc.
@get2sammyb Cool thanks - I'm interested in how 'survivally' it is. As long as I don't have to climb towers of zombies to open up new areas. I accepted it for Horzion because, well dinosaur robots, but I swear that is the last time. Except for Zelda maybe.
@get2sammyb i hope you can fit a pike to the front of the bike and change the registration to D4 UN1C0RN.
In all seriousness I'm looking forward to see what they do with that side of things!
If the bike plays a big part in the game then they need to nail the handling and physics. If it rode like the motorcycles from GTAV then I'd be happy.
Impressive as the gameplay video is, I kinda feel I've OD'd on zombie games. The COD / MW zombie extras were fun, but a full game, I'm not so sure I'd buy it.
Watch it release during E3...
If the scavenging is close to horizon im all over this. I hope this game Will have some darker themes though
The most exciting 'new' game showcased at last years E3 for me. This had a similar impact on me that Horizon did the year before and its now one of my most anticipated games...
@Constable_What That's not going to happen.
@get2sammyb
With no new hardware to worry about and Shu himself saying 2017 is all about the games, I'm expecting a massive showing of good stuff from Sony this year.
Judging by the last few years I doubt they'll disappoint either... (Unless you want Vita games ofcourse!)
Looking forward to this. Just the movement of the horde looks great!
this game is going to be legendary
sly Cooper 5 is also coming at e3
So dying light + walking dead + bikers = Days gone ok then -yawns-
Something about this just has 7/10 written all over it.
Spoiler:
Bike dies in the end.
I'm interested to see more of it, but I can't say I'm looking forward to it, as such. The zombie horde stuff is cool but I'm not convinced yet.
Gonna take a lot of innovation and solid gameplay to get me on board for another survival/zombie game. Dying light pretty much met all my expectations, and subsequently burned me out on the genre.
I want to learn more about this. So far, there hasn't been much on this title and I can't really get excited for it until we have more. Hopefully we'll get more on it and get more of an idea about what it's aiming for in terms of overall design and gameplay.
I hope the whole game isnt just running around "zombie tracks" setting off traps. Driving to next area, running around THAT "zombie track" setting off traps and so on and so forth because that could get pretty repetitive and boring eventually. Im really excited to see where this goes. I hope there are a lot of quieter spooky moments in dark forests in thunder storms and stuff.
Now that we have Horizon this is the most exciting game on the release schedule for me, can't wait for E3
I'm interested in this, the game looks like a mix of the last of us and gta.
Based on the trailers it is a mix of the Last of Us and GTA style gameplay. Sign me up!!
Anything like the last of us and im in. Hell im in anyways looks very interesting.
This should be right up my street but for some reason it seems a bit boring to me from the early gameplay demos. Hopefully there's more to this game than meets the eye and we'll get to see that at E3. But unlike most, I'm really not sold on this yet.
So far this game hasn't really set the internet alight really. Hopefully the next thing we see of it will. I thought it looked ok tho.
