Here's Your First Look at DOOM on PS4

Guns! Monsters! More at E3!

It's finally that time of the year where publishers start dropping 10 second trailers and describing them as E3 2015 teasers. The long overdue DOOM is the first to get the blink-and-you'll-miss-it treatment, as we're entitled to a very brief look at a double-barrel shotgun and a beast from beyond. There's also some industrial music to get you in the mood.

We'll get our first full glimpse of the title during Bethesda's pre-show press conference on Sunday, 14th June. The event will kick off at 19:00PM PT – or 03:00AM BST the next day in the UK – and is also likely to include the first footage of Fallout 4. It's one that'll probably be worth waiting up for, then – we're already feeling shattered.

@DRL Haha! I dunno, man - what's this actually going to be? If it's just an old-school run-'n'-gun, like, it'll find an audience for sure — but I feel like the heavy metal record cover art style is such a thing of its time, and I can do without more brainless guns blazing.

But Bethesda did a great job making Wolfenstein relevant again, so we'll have to see...

Maybe if they put The Rock in it? XD

@get2sammyb I have zero idea what to expect from it at this point. I think I'd prefer run-'n'-gun the most, honestly, but I don't anticipate it being that straightforward. I'd guess it'll be a combination of the horror pacing/aspects of Doom III mixed with the narrative focus of Wolfenstein. But who knows!

What does everyone else want from new DOOM?

Maybe a step closer to finding out when I will get to play the Beta promised with Wolfensein

I wouldn't mind too much if it ended up like Wolfenstien. That had a decent balance of story with run & gun gameplay. Considering Shadow Warrior is one of the best shooters on Ps4 for me, a straight up run & gun classic wouldn't be a bad idea either

I hear this game is supposed to be like the first 2 Doom games where you run unrealistic speeds and just mess up, with the horror from Doom 3 as a secondary element. As a fan of the series, I'm willing to bet this could be the best Doom game ever, since it has all the right elements.

Has it actually been confirmed to be coming to PS4? After getting burned by the scumbags at SquareEnix and Crystal Dynamics I never get too excited for games that don't have the consoles listed at the end of the advertisement. Especially when it's from a company known to be in MS' back pocket.
