remember when you used to be able to unlock characters by playing the game? I miss that. If these characters are already made, put them in the main game and let us have to "earn" them by playing more. Or I agree with @adf86, and don't announce them yet.

As others have said, I miss the days of unlocking content and characters in game through progression and achievement rather than being told what I can purchase via DLC ect.

Well I'm picking up standard version with goro for £35, I'll pick up the kombat pack when it hits a half price sale or I can get a cheap code off eBay. I'm not sure why anyone would pay extra for Tanya and or Tremor. Maybe if they were offering Johnny 5 and Yoda.

I hope they sell the characters individually. All I need is Predator.

@Azikira they seemed to have reduced the premium digital edition from 80 to 70 quid on psn, originally it was just a pre order reduction but is now permanent, seems they're already reconsidering the ridiculous prices, still, 20 quid for those four, pretty awful, personally I'd want Jason and predator, my only concerns are Jason is supposed to be incredibly slow and cumbersome, predator might make it feel like I'm back playing injustice

I think announcing dlc now is terrible marketing on their part. Would turn people away, especially after they did such a great job reviving this franchise.

On a side note, Aliens vs Predator was awesome, I recommend it. If they sell Predator separately, I'd consider getting him.

Uuuuuggggghhhh.... Advertised DLC way before the game is even out... That's annoying. And who doesn't want to play as a Predator?

@Bad-MuthaAdebisi I've no interest whatsoever in MKX as the last game and Injustice have put me right off. But if they announce Johnny 5 I will be all over it like a rash. His big, sad robotic eyes looking up at you as he wins, asking where Benjamin has gone... if someone from NetherRealm reads this, stop messing about with morons like Jason and Predator and give us Johnny 5!

I was watching thins seeing the characters walk forward from the shadows and I thought how cool it would be if Predator just uncloaked, and how much of a missed opportunity it would be should he not.
And BOOM! He totally uncloaked all awesome like!

On topic: Yeah Im toying with the idea of getting the deluxe edition that has the pass.

Maybe adding other cool characters like Number 5 from Short Circuit or the "Happy Birthday Paulie" robot from Rocky 4.

They did the same thing with the revival on the previous generation. It didn't hurt anything, and was supposedly the highest-selling fighter, at least on the X360.
