While the franchise may have infected other platforms, the PlayStation will always represent Resident Evil's true home. New fan or old, we're sure that you have plenty of fond memories that have kept you up at night. And Capcom UK would like you to share your terrifying experiences to stand a chance of winning a cameo in an upcoming game. With the next Biohazard under police protection, it's a shame that the prize can't be confirmed.
Still, which memories do you hold dear to your heart? Is it the first time that you learned to stay away from windows? Perhaps you recall the grizzly demise of a poor city ammo clerk? Or is it the lumbering sound of Nemesis that terrifies you to this day? Share you darkest recollections in the comments section below.

Back when I was on break from college, my little brother and I stayed up playing RE5 COOP for over 10 hours trying to beat it get the platinum trophy. We ended up finishing an hour before I had to leave and go back. Our lack of sleep and unhealthy amount of caffeine made for one hell of an intense/hilarious playthru.
I love the resident evil franchise but I haven't played much of it at all really, its been hit n miss so I think I've been put off splashing the cash. I liked 5 and I have 6 in the backlog. Probably code veronica way back on Dreamcast is still my favourite, even if it wasn't exactly perfect.
Is it for PS Vita?
I remember being around 8 years old and playing Resident Evil 2 over and over again. It got to the point where even til this day if I were to play it I would know exactly where to go, what enemy is going to come up, and be able to complete the game in 5 hours.
But that all changed when I played the 3rd one. I just couldn't get past Nemesis! The music that would play indicating that he was near always scared me and when I had to finally fight him the first time around I couldn't do it. Damn that rocket launcher!
Yeah whenever youre running about in Resi 3 and you heard Nemesis say Stars and bust outta nowhere, always scared the hell outta me. Tho all 3 ps1 games scared the hell outta me cause i was kid playing them.
@italodance When it's on PS4 everything is for PS Vita Remote Play my friend
Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition was amazing...
Nemesis is probably one of my favourite bosses, you never know when he's gonna smash through a wall and strangle you during a little run around.
Best memory is my buddy and I powering through Resi 3 together. Beat it the first time barely. Then being the bored 12 year olds we were, we played the mercenaries game non stop for an entire weekend for roughly 12 hours a day. Our pay off was the mini gun with unlimited ammo. We proceeded to laugh every time nemesis popped out afterwards. Since then we have played every Resi together. If I buy it it sits wrapped until we can get together to open it and play it. Its like our yearly manly fishing trip.
There I was, a young man with a life.. dabbling in things that are legal in Colorado at a friends house when I saw him playing a game I had never seen before.. it was Resident Evil. I sat loopy on said dabblings and watched him play for hours.. the next day I had to have the game so I rushed to get RE 2. I lost weeks in my room with my windows covered with blankets to set mood as I played through RE 2, RE, and then RE 3. I had been a gamer since Sega Genesis.. but this was the first series that I truly could not stop playing, looked forward to playing the second my eyes opened, and put social life aside for a short while for lol.RE2 to this day is still one of my favorite games, I still play on my vita.
Also let's not forget the great Barry and his form of broken English. Barry to Jill as he hands her a lock pick (you the master of unlocking!). Ahhhh good times
I've only played Resident Evil 6 to story completion, while RE1-5 I'm stuck at the very beginning, I keep on dying.
(haven't played any of the spin-offs)
Resident Evil 2, I borrowed it from my friend and got to the end of the game. I was there in the final battle with Birkin and I unloaded every piece of ammo I had into him. It wasn't enough, he kept standing and was coming for me. All I had left was my knife. Ready for death, I took out the knife expecting to have to re do the fight. I took one swing with the knife, hit Birkin and he died. I was so shocked and ecstatic that I watched the ending with the biggest smile on my face.
