Outside of camera-heavy titles, you’ll be able to enjoy every PlayStation 4 release on your PlayStation Vita. That includes sprawling epics such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – and fortunately, developer CD Projekt Red is working hard to ensure that the adventure plays perfectly on Sony’s portable platform.
Asked if the company is having trouble transcribing the game’s controls to the Vita, director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz responded that the Polish studio designed the release to be as flexible as possible during the pre-production process. This is allowing it to maintain a quality experience across multiple consoles.
"Everything is a question of the design philosophy that you adopt during the early phase of the pre-production process," he told PSU. “Remember that interface differences are not only the case for the PS4 and Vita – as a multiplatform developer, we also need to take into account the differences between all of the platforms. This means that we need to introduce solutions that are flexible and universal so that the game runs smoothly and provides a similar experience on all machines – including the Vita.”
Despite that, the company's focusing on the console version for the time being. "Our first and main objective is to lock the final control scheme on the PS4 itself," he explained. “Only when this is done can we provide support for alternative control modes later on. Since we’re still adding functionality to the game and testing the friendliness of our control schemes, we can’t say much about the Vita yet.”
Still, the fact that a game like The Witcher 3 is going to be playable on the portable in the first place is a serious reason to celebrate. Will you be furthering Geralt’s journey on the pocketable platform? Let us know in the comments section below.

I hope other developers are taking remote play seriously too. A shame if it doesn't live up to the promise again.
I want Vita games to be playable on TV somehow. Via PS3 and PS4 or some HDMI cable.
@Gemuarto I think devkits have an HDMI port on them.
Damn! I read this article thinking I'd somehow missed hearing that it would be on Vita as its own game, without a PS4. Seemed hellishly impossible given Witcher's track record of hardware melting visuals.
would love to play this on my vita
@Gemuarto I'm sure the first vita revision will include hdmi out, Much like the PSP 2000 included video out.
Now make a PS Vita version while you're at it. It has proven it can handle such games.
that's great news
now on a side not if the PS4 is getting The Witcher 3, then how about 1 and 2 while your at it CD Projekt Red???
So is the Witcher 3 coming out on PS Vita or will it be playable via remote play on PS4?
