A nice, concise video from MBG that lays the theory all out. Obviously it’s a ‘keep your expectations in check’ situation… but you never know… and stranger things have happened etc:
The evidence I had seen seemed pretty poor to me and I just assumed it was a marketing strategy in poor taste from Blue Box. However, now that I've learned both of their names translate to hero, it seems far too much of a coincidence to me not to be Kojima trolling us all.
I kinda hope that if it’s all a marketing stunt and there’s no link then they get a backlash. It’s not really ok to piggy back off other people’s reputation.
I don't hope they get a backlash at all. Why would you want that for a small indie dev?
They've made it pretty clear multiple times there is no connection, only references. It's on the gamers themselves that don't take no for an answer.
"Hey babe, wanna dance?" "No" "Well, I think you do, 'cause your dress has a pattern on it that I recognize from a Japanese painting, which is where Kojima is from, who made Metal Gear Solid 3, and in one scene in that game Ocelot says 'yes', so you're wearing that dress because you want to dance with me. Also, your name is Janet, which has the letters JA in it, which is German for yes."
"But I don't even speak Germ-"
"Let's go!"
Let's just accept no for an answer, and get mad when it turns out to be true, instead of the other way around.
@Kidfried or we could just enjoy the ride. I love this kinda thing, it gets me fully engaged. If it's false fine, if it's true I enjoyed the interactive build up. There is nothing wrong with reading between the lines in life and not just listening to what your told.
@colonelkilgore oh, I love riding the hype train as well. Just important to not get entitled as a result. Ness' comment left a sour taste in my mouth in that regard.
@colonelkilgore The thing that got me most is not being able to find the director of the studio anywhere else online. I'd expect maybe an article in a local paper or something, but there hardly is any evidence. It's certainly suspicious, but not nearly enough for me to become a believer.
@jdv95 well that just leaves Grubby-Grubb-Grubb left then huh... maybe someone should tweet the most obvious shill in journalism and see if he's wriggling in his seat a little now. 🤣😂🤣😂
