Topic: Neverwinter -OT-

So Neverwinter a F2p MMORPG based on Dungeon and Dragons came out today, and I for one hae been looking forward to this game. Honestly this was on Xbox One exclusive I was hoping would come to PS4 at one time. Any one else looking forward to this game? Feel free to discuss it here.

I downloaded it but haven't played it yet. I'm probably going to give it a go after I'm done with Resident Evil 5. I don't know much about it but I love RPG's and you can't beat the asking price.

@Splat: Just to let you know it's an MMORPG like World of Warcraft or Everquest which means grouping with others and raids and such, it's not an RPG say like Dragon Age.

Do you have to group with others or is it possible to get through this solo?

@Gamer83: From what I have heard from a few coworkers of mine who play it regularly on Xbox One you could solo it but if you want the best gear and stuff you need to group up for the big raids.

@Gamer83: I have heard that you can craft armor and weapons that's just as good as the stuff in raids, but I cant confirm that since I have yet to play it.

Was looking forward to this as well. First I have to finIsh Divinity original sin.

Started playing it today for an hour and it seem's pretty good up to now, I was worried at first it seemed like it held your hand to much with the sparkly line infront of you and all, but after my first taste of combat even though it was an easy fight the combat certainly has promise and it's growing on me for sure. I think i'm going to like it, gunna get stuck in good and proper later on.

I am currently watching my son playing and it definitely has a World of Warcraft feel to it. As an old DnD player (Mostly played Forgotten Realms) it's brought back alot of memories especially when I saw all the names of the towns you could select for a hometown.

I am sure I will sink alot of time into this game.

Noticed @ShogunRok was playing this last night. Didn't know what the hell it was.

Does anybody know if it's cross platform with Xbox and PC? I'm seeing lot's of people playing it's very busy.

@xMEADx: No it isn't. I know PC is a few patches ahead of even the Xbox One and as for cross play with Xbox One see the article @get2sammyb just posted about Rocket League.

I think the fact that it's new to PS4 and free is why we see alot of people playing it right now.

I've downloaded it on the basis that it's NWN but I'm not sure I'll enjoy it, we'll see!

@kyleforrester87: Just keep in mind it has nothing to do with the past NWN games. The only similarity it has is it uses the town of Neverwinter.

OMG I am loving it. This game will fill the void that WoW left when my PC died a few years ago. It also doesn't help that I use to play DND back in high school especially Forgotten Realms so I know alot of the lore they are using in this game.

@Tasuki I'm actually quite enjoying it. I think for a free-to-play MMO it's very good, and I like the upgrade system and combat. Definitely plan to keep on playing it.

Really though, is it better than FF11? I played that for a month or so and it was pretty average.

@ShogunRok: Yeah it surprised me too how well it's done for a F2P MMO. This will definitely be one of the games I keep installed on my PS4 so that way I can play it here and there. It definitely scratches that itch I have to play WoW and best of all its doesn't cost a dime.
