Re: Report Suggests PS5 Won't Support 1440p Output

@WaveWitch "when you take a look at the resolution jump between 480p, to 720p and then 1080p, wouldn't 1440p be the next logical or appropriate jump when sided with the resolutions before it?"

No, 1620 would be because of the 1.5x increase. 1440 us just and odd number. Strange that they don't support all resolutions though. But PS5 isn't even out yet and this could be fixed with a firmware upgrade.

@nessisonett "the game has an issue with surround sound with my TV and I had to change the settings through that"

While I'm glad that you found a solution, I am dismayed that it took you having a breakdown before deciding to find one. Considering the nature of your audio issue, isn't your surround sound setup, logically, among the first things to check?

"having a complete nightmare"

"Get a grip," he says.

"I later found out that you had to hard reboot"

That means one of two things; either the PS4 was malfunctioning, or placebo effect inspired you to figure your way through the admittedly wonky control scheme of the vents.

"The texture issues....made the game look amateurish"

Okay.

"you’re using your own positive experience as an excuse to shut down all negative ones"

I've already told you that my point of view is an informed one, not being subjective to only my own personal experience. I've never seen anyone who played through the whole game and found the experience to be uninspired. Your melodramatic, and unlikely, experience of every possible problem while playing the game is hard to digest. It seems like you are a kind of person who will find a single cigarette butt on an otherwise clean street, and be convinced that you are in a bad part of town.

@nessisonett "It was almost as much of a mess to play as Star Wars: Fallen Order". "Plenty" to you means probably like one or two people; I never saw it. Did you encounter the same glitch? Where did you get stuck? You mention the texture problems as if they make the game unplayable, or in the least make the game visually unappealing. These occasional caveats don't amount to an unimpressive or sloppy release. Did all of these issues you experienced demotivate you from finishing the game? The audio issue, is related to the camera or which way the main character was facing and proximity in relationship to who was talking, which is supposed to be realistic. Maybe there's more to that, but it seems like you are taking every possible complaint ever made about a game, and making them all your own single experience.

@nessisonett I've been paying attention for months and even tried searching, and I cannot find another person who has your issues. Did you? Maybe your harddrive is wonkey or your Pro is defective somehow. Would love to see reception of your previous complaints. There is no way that your initial comment is correct in any objective way. It's pretty much slander, lol.
