@Darylb88 I would imagine so, as both a brick and mortar store and online they will likely get a larger stock allocation than sites like Shopto and Box. Especially as they had another lot of preorders go live a few days later.

@Darylb88 No, I received the email you're on about last Friday. The email i got 3 days after preorder, was just like a written email with my order number and last 4 numbers of my game reward card. Basically just said that being one of the first to preorder, they could guarantee me day 1 delivery.
I did pay for DPD delivery and am a GAME elite member so not sure if that's why.

I'm glad I was stalking the GAME website the night preorders went live, got my order in at 11:30pm (before the rush im guessing, because i was able to log into my account) received confirmation email 10 minutes later and an email 3 days later confirming day 1 delivery.
Whereas I only received an email yesterday saying Shopto couldn't deliver my preorder with them on day one (Now cancelled)
Which makes me wonder how GAME can tell me 3 days after I preordered that im guaranteed day 1, yet apparently Shopto have only just found out their stock allocation?

I noticed this last week on GAMEs website and thought they had just messed the date up again.

Interestingly, I've just received an email from GAME this evening, thanking for and confirming my preorder for the 19/11. Nice to have real confirmation.

You have to give it to Microsoft, this coming out just before preorders open on Xbox Next gen.
Even if they haven't specifically said that games such as fallout and Elder scrolls will be console exclusive to Xbox, the fans who really want to play these future releases may be swayed to go with an Xbox

I cant tell you how good a retailer they are, as I've never used them, but the option is there.

@Old-Red Use GAMEs live chat feature, just checked and it is Live, you may have to wait ten minutes in a queue but you'll get through to someone.

Anyone who has registered interest has until 24/09 to click confirm preorder in their accounts.
They have put a warning on accounts telling you not to prepay, as a preorder does not guarantee a console.

EDIT: Quote from website "Clicking confirm does not guarantee stock on day one. We will inform you via email when we receive the confirmation of allocation from Sony."

@Old-Red I think they may be suffering from a technology issue all round, my nephew who works in one of their stores said they are having difficulties with POS system in store.

It appears amazon UK has now sold out of disc based edition

For anyone in the UK using shopto, and previously "registered your interest" with a penny, log into your account and under preorder it should say confirm preorder in a green button or a cancel preorder red button.

*EDIT : Their homepage now says preorder in 5 days yet they are accepting orders??

*EDIT 2: 5 days now disappeared and preorders live. I wonder if preorders were originally meant to be Monday 21st, and Sony changed it last minute??

@Paranoimia no email as yet, and your right about their site, but i kept trying and was able to log in to my account and check under preorders and the price has changed from 0.01 to 449.99. And processing to begin on the 13/11. So fingers crossed its confirmed.

My pre-preorder with shopto in the UK has just turned into an actual preorder. Processing to begin on the 13/11/2020

@themightyant I think you're bang on. With multiple European retailers price lists being leaked, including Amazon Spain saying €499 and €399 respectively, I can see the same price or very similar (i dont think the DE will be any cheaper than 399 anywhere) across all countries. Including £ and $.

If i was Sony id wait to announce PS5 details on the 22nd September and really steal MS thunder. People who want a PS5 will get a PS5 regardless of what the competition shows.
