@Ashkorsair Completely agree! Bad controls and camera are not a satisfying challenge, and from soft are slow at addressing the clunky parts of their game engine.
The problem is that bad game design is often presented as "challenge", and FromSoftware has many excellent game mechanics but also some really annoying things too. Miyazaki is correct, but it shouldn't be a reason to dismiss legitimate constructive criticism. At least they have reduced run backs to boss rooms.
Personally, I'm looking forward to more of the same Elden Ring in the DLC. Whatever FromSoftware makes next in the souls formula will be more of the same too, and I'm happy with that.
I just hope the gameplay for bosses is unique rather than reskinned ones from old games. No doubt there will be reskinned dog enemies and different coloured poison swamps.
Looks awesome, just tempering expectations because souls likes need to have very solid gameplay and progression as well. I'm looking forward to it and nice to see an Italian perspective in this game.
It would be nice to have something like new featured games and recommendations based on your play history and friends play history.
I would really care whatever battle royale is popular this month and in the UK the EA football game will always be up there as most played, so most played games info aren't valuable to me anyway.
A fictionalised world based on historical periods without specific real-world figures may have made this less politically sensitive. I don't really have a view on this though because I know little about that part of the world's history and hope they can find ways to make games players can enjoy without running into these things.
MS's handling of its studios and 1st party titles doesn't help. I expected Playstation to be popular in the UK now the Switch is toward the end of its lifecycle and Sony have sorted its PS5 production issues.
It was the only way to get a PS5 in the UK for many people so the Horizon games popularity is partly artificial. I had to buy this bundle for my PS5 then immediately sold Horizon and bought the games I really wanted the system for, like Bloodborne.
Stray attempted to do something original in its aesthetic and so I feel it should be given credit for that. I was the same though, loved it for a few days then it lost its appeal went back to playing Elden Ring.
The game world linearity and lack of free jumping I feel reduced it's replayability. They could have gotten rid of the zorks enemies and kept it a puzzle platformer.
If the PS1 version of Caslevania Symphony of the Night was available to download and play then Premium might be worth it, but I'm planning to downgrade to the mid tier
You can play most of the map and no bosses until the capital but not everyone knows that. Areas beyond the capital are designed to be challenges where strategy is more important than brute force.
I played Bloodborne for the first time after elden ring and agree the mechanics and boss encounters had more uniqueness.
Elden Ring allows for flexibility and map traversal without as many boss gates, so for people like me who like riding around on the horse exploring areas it is pretty fun.

Re: Development of Santa Monica Studios' Next PS5 Game Appears to Be Going Swimmingly
If it's early stages of a new game it won't release for 5 years or so based on the GoW development times, so that would be 2029!

Re: Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Out for PS5, PS4 on 21st June 2024
Expecting a shadow world of shadow dog enemies, shadow poison swamps, and shadow ladder climbing... should be good fun nonetheless.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown?
I'm waiting for it to go on sale and for half price it will be a 9 or 10, but it feels too expensive at full price to be more than an 8.
