@MysticWangForce No I'm sorry I just don't agree, its been 15 years and additional work was required for this port. To expect them to provide you a free copy a decade and a half later just feels odd. Would I complain if they did it? No obviously not but I also don't believe it should be an expectation.
@CutchuSlow expecting a free upgrade (which I can't even see how they could do) for a game you bought 15 years ago, might be a little unrealistic I feel.
@Balaam_ feels pretty shady to suggest people who enjoy BF6 must be lobotomised.
And also incredibly shallow to suggest thats the gameplay loop of Battlefield, it has plenty of depth and its disappointing to see the high and mighty comments.
@HRdepartment Based on this statement, I dont believe you have a Pro. To pretend theres no difference is farcical. Being able to play Ghost of Yotei at 60fps with ray tracing is simply better and is visibly better.
The Pro is better for the majority of games, I can count on one hand the games that have flaws and could be considered inferior due to the poor implementation of PSSR.
You sir need to stop telling lies, its a naughty thing to do.
@naruball Look I get it, there are countless games I adored that failed to get the sales they need to survive (I'm looking at you Dead Space) but unfortunately this is just the nature of the beast and being annoyed that mainstream titles like CoD and Fifa sell incredibly well just seems pointless.
GTA just feels like its been unfairly tarnished by its Online being so popular, it doesn't deserve to be thrown into the same pile.
This list also doesn't mean all other titles are failures, it just means this list appeals to a bigger margin of players then most which is true. I don't know many who haven't picked up a Call of Duty title or have played GTA 5 at some point. If you actively avoid these titles to feel some moral high ground and call yourself a 'true' gamer, you're doing yourself a disservice.
Why is it that 'true' gamers feel the need to hate on whats popular and suggest only casuals buy them. Granted with CoD, I stopped buying them annually after Black Ops but I can't deny the games are solidly made (for the most part). And this its cool to hate on GTA thing people now have, like if something becomes mainstream popular, its time to throw it out of the 'real gaming' zone.
Its an absolutely fair point and it makes sense they dont make Leon or Chris for example the main character because they're so hardended to this stuff and it definitely removes an element of the horror if the character isn't afraid at all. Also if they're able to fly kick dudes.
I was worried with Village, while I really enjoyed it, it definitely felt like the slipping of Resi 5 back into more action which resulted in Resi 6. So I'm glad they seem to be making an active effort to pivot back.
But make no mistake, this does not mean old faces won't show up, we will definitely be seeing Leon and probably others, this is the end of a trilogy of new games, they will definitely want a bang to end on.
@playstation1995 ditto, got a copy for RDR2 on PS4 back on release and then more recently got the Xbox One copy as its One X upgrade was superior to the PS4 pros.
I do hope in some way this is foreshadowing and wood on the fire for the rumours of a next gen update to RDR2
Yeah I'm really struggling to see any justification for removing first party titles, there is no positive here. Xbox does not remove titles like this and even when we get a remaster like Oblivion, they don't remove the original title.
This is pretty crappy no matter how you look at it, for the amount they charge, removing first party games is unjustifiable I feel.

@Ainu20 damn a sensible individual who can acknowledge the positive.
I think this is the problem, this whole "your with us or your against us". What happened to supporting a company when they do a good thing and still acknowledge the flaws. Ubisoft is not a good company overall, it hasn't been for a long time but ala most companies these days, they still produce good products and should be commended when they do.
I just hate this ubislop mantra, like nothing they release can be good because its from Ubisoft? Its so based and depressingly ignorant.
@Residentsteven stating a lot of opinions as fact there dude, I get walking simulators or games like Hellblade aren't for everyone but calling it bad is pretty disingenuous when the overall consensus is otherwise.
Also not sure where you are getting the info it didn't do very well, no comms from Microsoft state that, there hasn't been layoffs at Ninja theory to suggest it. The game has been nominated and won a number of awards, I think Microsoft is pretty happy.
I also recall quite a fair bit of advertising so again not sure I follow that point.
@Residentsteven well done showing how little you actually know about these things, since Microsoft had zero involvement or influence when it came to the first Hellblade...which in fact was self published by Ninja Theory.
@Boxmonkey this is true to an extent, not sure if you've ever been to CEX recently (if ever) but older game mark ups are becoming increasingly common. Saw a copy of Velvet Assassin for the 360 which was a very OK game for £66 in CEX, came out in 2009.
@Medic_alert yeah I can't deny that, when it comes to image quality itself its hard to notice in most games, especially Sony titles that have patched it it. I mean the frame rate dividends are pretty noticeable which is probably most important, I could usually see a difference on the PS5 when flipping between performance and quality when it came to cuts in resolution etc etc, so it is nice now not having to have those cuts and playing Ragnarok for example with the extra bits and bobs at 60fps.
@Medic_alert it really depends on the game, Star Wars Outlaws for example for me is transformational. I felt the performance modes resolution was too low and looked horrible but even the quality mode had this awful FSR shimmer when riding the speeder. Now with PSSR, the resolution is pretty decent and the shimmer is gone.
I'm truly excited to see more games make proper use of PSSR and finally move away from FSR and its awful image quality.
@Boxmonkey the game library is in a pretty decent place now, sure its not as strong as we'd like, we also have the whole catalogue of PS4 games, and while the filter the pro puts on them is hit and miss, its definitely still nice.
Very happy with my pro so far, sure its not night and day in most scenarios, but the improvements that are there already, are worth it for me. And I look forward to seeing games being designed with it in mind going forward, as well as the expected improvements to PSSR with time.
I also echo others about the 2tb built in, very nice and now that alongside the 2tb m2 ssd, I can have so much more installed at one time which is always nice.
@evan23 I can definitely confirm from my first hand experience it works, I removed my ssd from my PS5 when I sold it at the weekend (got £232 from Cex which I'm very happy with as I only paid £418 for the launch model back in December 2020) and when I installed it in my pro today, all the games were there after the database rebuild it initiated.
@Kalime78 of course but I just think the market is in an incredibly different position now and Sony has much more mindshare, Xbox has lost so much of the respect people had for its platform, and everything they release to a degree will now be on Playstation anyway. The only way it would go the same way the 360 did is if the generational leap were to be similar, which it won't.
This isn't the jump from PS2 to PS3, games releasing when the new Xbox comes out will have no issues running on the PS5, unlike before when they would have to make bespoke PS2 versions of games due to the hardware limitations.
I also do feel Sony are a little complacent at the moment, a lot of their business decisions in recent years have been pretty garbage and anti-consumer but they have the hold on the market and Microsoft isn't the threat it once was to them. I definitely could be wrong but I'm comfortable in my belief they will hold to the assumed roadmap for the next console.
@Kalime78 definitely some good points there, I don't think Sony are too worried about Xbox having any lead though, its already proven that people don't buy based on what is more powerful and since PlayStation is the market leader by a considerable margin, it will continue to be the primary platform to develop for so most games won't take full advantage of anything truly next gen about the next Xbox. Also bare in mind cross gen is here to stay, which also limits incentive to make a release sooner when we'll probably still be getting PS4 releases for major games still in 2027/2028, let alone no end in sight for PS5 releases.
@armondo36 I don't believe that will be the case, I'm not confident the market will be accepting of the mainstream console touching those sort of prices, I mean at the very least it would need to include the disc drive etc from the get go if it was to be close to the £699/$699 price point.
This console won't sell big numbers and they know that, a PS6 has to sell big numbers to justify its existence and unlike the phone market which has accepted such high costs for devices, I don't think the gaming market has that same level of commitment.
@WizzNL You could be right, Rockstar are pretty adamant about 2025 but of course the potential is there. I don't personally see Sony bringing the PS6 launch that close, I mean they just don't have a massive amount of incentive to have it that soon, I don't personally see this generation being shorter than the last one for them.
But who knows you could be right and if you're happy for the 3 potentially 2 years, I don't blame you.
As soon as it was announced it doesn't come with one, I ordered it that very day as I could see this happening. Glad I did or Thursday would be a lot less fun.

@CutchuSlow I wish that was obvious these days but unfortunately too many people say such things, with serious intent. XD

@Jacko11 Well lucky me for finding value in it I guess, sorry you couldn't and be able to enjoy GTA IV like me
Re: Red Dead Redemption 1 Confirmed for PS5, Out 2nd December
@Jacko11 can always play GTA IV on xbox instead.
P.s of course I would love a proper remaster treatment for the best GTA too.

Fyi I am also really enjoying Yotei.
Re: Ghost of Yotei Can't Beat Battlefield 6 as EA's Shooter Dominates PS5 in October
@MidnightDragonDX Why would that matter? This is for one platform, plenty of exclusives have outsold multi platform titles.

@PerpetualBoredom I realise this is likely a joke but you do remember the 360/ps3 era right?
Re: USA's Top 20 PlayStation Games of All Time May Surprise You
@Tatarimokke why are you proud of that? Some really solid titles among that list...I really find this odd to be a thing to be proud of.

Re: Rockstar Quietly Increases Prices of Red Dead Redemption Games on PS4
@Yukairi I mean unfortunately now that its the only way to play RDR1 at 60fps, its the copy people should be playing if they're going back to it.
But thankfully for us, we can get it pretty cheap physically.

Re: Rockstar Quietly Increases Prices of Red Dead Redemption Games on PS4
Again I guess its just another reason why we shouldn't shun buying physical, I picked up a copy of RDR 1 last week for £19.99 in Smyths Toys.
I try my best to always buy physical on console, and things like this prove how anti-consumer the digital stores are on consoles.
