Can I customize it so that there's absolutely no street racing story, characters or cutscenes? Unlikely, I know, which is why I'll be waiting a year or three for a deep discount to see if it's got that classic Criterion driving/drifting physics engine magic (as I frantically mash the X button to skip all the cutscenes).
I thoroughly enjoyed and felt like I got my full money's worth out of Fallout 3,Fallout: New Vegas and all their expansions.
Fallout 4, on the other hand, not so much! I've struggled mightily to get into it, and not for lack of trying.
I'm in 'wait and see' mode on Bethesda releases now. I'd like for Starfield and the inevitable Fallout 5 to be good but hardly consider it a sure thing.
Curious to see more, how they handle the whole 'wacky 1950s' vibe will probably make or break it for me. I like the general Fallout premise of survival vaults and the experiments that happen inside them, but even though I enjoyed the Fallout 3 commercial with 'I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire' and frequently chuckle at the Vault-Tec Vault Boy PSAs the whole 50s aesthetic is generally a miss for me.
I'm sure there are some good games in there that I already own (like Scarlet Nexus, which someone mentioned above), but I maintain a pretty healthy wish list on the PS store and the only thing I got notified about from these 2,000+ discounts was an add-on for Furi. I did pick that up!
@Bionic-Spencer I wouldn't mind that either based on how this game's shaping up, but isn't Striking Distance like a subsidiary of PUBG/Krafton...? Or is Striking Distance independent and this just a publishing arrangement?
I don't care about it in the sense that it's any kind of dealbreaker, but if I'm being honest I do notice the difference more than I ever expected to.
When I got a PS5 and upgraded my TV, I thought the big deals would be 4K and especially HDR – and they are – but surprised myself when I was like 'oh hey, this 60fps is actually kinda nice!'
Like I said, though, hardly a dealbreaker and I've no problem playing or revisiting <60fps titles.
Hate to say it because I really liked the original Tales from the Borderlands and would have massively preferred for this to be, you know, good, but I had a feeling about this one. Thanks for the refreshingly candid review.

Re: Helplessness Is a Core Tenant of The Callisto Protocol's Approach to Mastering Horror
How many people had to look at that headline before it got published?
Re: Deadpool, Venom, Morbius, Storm All Part of Midnight Suns Season Pass
This looks like it will truly be one of the games that comes out this year. (Am I doing this right?) It's stormin' time!

Re: Star Wars Eclipse 'Controlled Leak' Was Reportedly Intentional, Meant to Gauge Interest
I'm mildly interested in this but much, much more interested in the Massive Entertainment Star Wars game. What ever happened to that??
