From where I am from, I know no one that uses Playstation Plus other than myself.
I feel that it is as usual the overall low quality of PS+ in Asia compared to those in other regions. I can't remember them all but, we don't get as many discounts and that is if we do get them in the first place. And even if we do, it is always for some pretty useless DLC. The instant game collection is...pretty weak. Although it is picking up in that I finally got my first AAA title after 6 months of using it. Otherwise it is all just pretty normal PSN downloads. Of course the last reason is PSN itself. We here in Asia get content very late compared to all other regions.
Basically, PS+ value is greatly diminished in Asia regions. I'm really hoping that this new policy will allow them to give us in Asia more support!
Many people are guessing it is a crossover between AC Real World and AC Strangereal. I wouldn't know. But considering that it is not a numbered game I suppose it is highly possible.
Which means I probably shouldn't keep my hopes up to high yet. While Assault Horizon was not too bad. It pretty much just sat at the bottom of my AC Ranking list together with Joint Assault and Advance...
Okay I'll admit I actually hated it after the second or third playthrough when I realize just how railroaded and scripted Ace Combat has become. If all the future games are like this. I might start crying blood. T.T
If it happens that is. I feel like some part of my hope just got shot around by @MadchesterManc and @rastamadeus ... but from what I see it should be fine...should be.
No such thing as mook chivalry here eh? Sounds wonderfully...masochistic. But hey, this should make for an interesting game considering the only problem comes from difficulty.
This is an amazing presentation. I watched the entire presentation from start to finish and I was thoroughly impressed. I really hope Sony is going to continue in this wonderful direction.
Same concept of gameplay as Kingdom Hearts. But seems to be improved to be much more cinematic...
To be honest, although I dig the gameplay. I am not sure how Final Fantasy as a series will be progressing from there. Altering gameplay from one of your other franchises doesn't really count as innovation in every iteration in my opinion.
Actually, scratch that...I'm just getting this indescribable bad feeling about FF all of a sudden...But I just can't nail it down what it is.
I'm not so sure yet though. As you mentioned in the article there is a high probability that it only consists of a small sample of the hardcore gaming contingent. I wouldn't say the same for the casuals...
Well while you guys are having issues with the PSN itself. Us here in Asia suffer from a surprising lack of content that the NA, EU and JPN servers have. Its so teeth-grindingly annoying that while you people are getting Triple A games like Demon Souls and all that for PS+ while we got...what PS Home costumes? Really? REALLY?!
Seriously the difference between Asia and those places are really miles apart.
If anything I hope Sony would improve support for regions other than NA EU and JPN. Although I do believe that that is highly improbable since the Asia market seems to be comparatively small compared to those places...Or is it big and I just don't know it?
I think that should be true unless there is a PC port...PC Ports can always rely on the brute force of the PC to provide a better performance than consoles even if poorly optimized I bet. But the cost to get that kind of results? Probably not worth it.
Exclusives are very important for me. Without exclusives, there will be no point buying one console over another wouldn't it? Which is why in my shopping list, I always make it a point to buy exclusives over the multi-platform games. Why buy something that others can have (and most of the time in PS3's case, inferior) when you can buy something that only the PS3 have. (Can I mention that I'm still crying over Ace Combat 6 exclusivity on the Xbox 360?)
And no, I will never buy a game that's also ported to the PC. No matter how badly optimized the game maybe. The PC will still have many options that can make it better than it's console counterparts.
I'm not exactly interested in the social features. So it doesn't matter whether it cost or not. However if it is free, then that will be just another little side thing I mess around once in a while.
I generally agree with the suggestions put out. Killzone has a lot of potential that isn't used yet.
Oh and about the "Gears Killer" and "Halo Killer" thing. I personally feel that Resistance is the "Halo Killer" while Killzone is the "Gears Killer".
Resistance is all about weapon a massive variety of weapon types and a large variety of enemies with a some-what super soldier feel that I find similar to Halo
While Killzone is a slow paced cover based shooter which I find similar to Gears of War. Albeit with one being first person and the other being third person.
Never read it but I do hear that it is pretty good. However, all of these VN-type (I'm assuming it'll be a VN/Adventure type kind of game) tend to stay in Japan so I doubt any western fans that can't read Japanese will be able to enjoy it much at all.
Although it is an odd move though. Is it to push digital content or for price concerns? Although the earlier comments states that prices won't be reduced that much if at all...
Zero Backlog, I play every game I get as soon as I get it for some taste and then vary among all of them so that I wouldn't get too focused on one genre and start feeling that its stale.

Re: Sega Goes Back In Time With PS4 Launch Title Yakuza Ishin
Well technically that is the Japanese PS4 Launch title. 22/2/2014 and all.
Still, the game looked pretty cool. Here's to hoping they localize it.

Re: So, That PlayStation 4 RAM Saga Is Still Rolling
Did anyone see Digital Foundry? I think its a bleeding warzone over there.
Heck, the whole gaming world has gone to rubbish.

Re: Sony Sidelines MAG, SOCOM 4, and SOCOM: Confrontation
Sad, it was a pretty amazing game. Let's hope someone else might be able to pick it up and give it a sequel it needs.
Re: Hatsune Miku Project Diva F Could Be Dancing onto Your Vita, Too
@rastamadeus True, the PS Vita's userbase isn't anything to boast about. But when I imagine playing PDf on the press-gasmic buttons of the Vita...
Gah...
Re: Hatsune Miku Project Diva F Could Be Dancing onto Your Vita, Too
Pure Joy!

Cerny is starting to feel more awesome by the minute.
Re: Sony Almost Included Sweat Sensors on the PS4 Controller
I have a bad case of sweaty palms. So wouldn't that end up as a bit of a problem if it misreads?
Well not that it matters anyways, I poo myself when anything remotely scary happens. >.<
Re: Settle Down for PlayStation Story Time with Mark Cerny
That was amazing. Mark Cerny is really rising in popularity huh?

Nice of the guy to settle this with a phonecall. If only all disagreements could be settled so easily..

Really reminds me of Ghost Trick here...and that was awesome.
I may be looking into this when it comes out.

Re: Talking Point: Do DLC Deals Influence Your Purchasing Habits?
I would be affected yes, but not to the point of buying it for another console.
Re: Review: Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory (PlayStation 3)
Its among my favorites but...yeah this is totally a niche title.

Re: Shuhei Yoshida Doesn't Want All PS4 Games to be First-Person Shooters
More variety is good~ I definitely support this idea to the utmost.
Although I still prefer RPGs. We need more of those.

The only issue I see with this is that some people just don't have the space. But other than that, I think this is a very good move on Sony's part.

After playing Dishonored, I sometimes get the feeling that its gotten the gameplay inspiration from Deus Ex. That's a good thing of course.
Re: Could Destiny of Spirits Be a New PlayStation 4 Game?
@ShogunRok Same here, name reminds me of an RPG and I still think that the PS scene is severely lacking in RPGs recently.
Re: No, Your PlayStation 4 Won't Play Audio CDs
Nope, never used it. So it won't be affecting me.

Re: Why Isn't David Hayter in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain?
So it will be something similar to a reboot then? Hopefully it will not get trashed as badly as the many reboots that are happening recently.
And similarly, I hope the reboot would be good.
Re: Reaction: PlayStation 4 Catches Second Wind at GDC
Woah, It's nice to see Sony going for such a friendly stance. This is making me really optimistic for the future of the company~
