Can Sony just stop with the Vita and ps3 releases already? They always suck and barely anyone even cares about them, least of all Sony. They seem to prefer to just tout the ps4 entries so just move on from the legacy consoles already.
Knack is crappy with a horrible trophy list/collectible scheme. But I will try RiME. Someday.
Way too late for Knack to be added. Should have been just before the (totally unwarranted) sequel. Now, it's just lame. I mean, it was always lame, but this is just a dumb time. RiME is so much more current, that alone makes it a better choice. It's also a game I was personally interested in but would never buy, so that's a perfect use of a Plus space. Weird how RiME went from a Sony published title to not, and now on Plus.
@NintendoFan4Lyf I read an article in Game Informer a while back that was all about Bioware's history and it's founding members. It gave me tons of respect for the people behind the games. And I don't even play Bioware's games! But after being acquired by EA, it really seems like the quality suffered and now they're doing a totally stupid and blatantly obvious clone of Destiny that only serves as a vehicle for MTX. Very unfortunate.
@Gremio108 My wife got me a custom controller from a company called ColorWare for Xmas. There are THOUSANDS of combinations you can make. You can get the back and touchpad colored, too! Or just leave em and do the front part. A fully custom one (front, back, TP) cost $120 and takes a few weeks to be delivered. It's less if you don't deck out the whole thing.
Wait, are you sure you didn't mean to post another monster Hunter guide here instead? There are only seven or eight MH posts on the first page right now....
Anyway, I love arcade racers so we'll see how this turns out. No way I'm paying for the opportunity to beta test it, though. Especially since you can't get a refund for digital games.
There's too much going on with VR peripherals right now. Too many different ways to solve problems. And who even knows if they'll be compatible with the next iterations of VR headsets? When Sony announced that all PSVR games would be compatible with the standard controller I thought it was the smartest stance to take. I mean, what else is that light bar for, right? Of course, Sony was full of crap and many games require 2 Moves (or are incredibly awkward without them) so now there are multiple control schemes for most games leading to not-as-good solutions.
Complaining about a scene in the game that you didn't like seeing is so stupid. It's MEANT to make you uncomfortable. They aren't advocating domestic abuse. I haven't read the allegations about the work environment because, honestly, there are just so many of these stories I don't have time or appetite for them all.
@get2sammyb I said it limits gameplay. It does so in favor of immersion. How do you think street fighter would play in VR? The same combos, or a simplified version? Do you think you'd actually be punching with your hands instead? And how would you move back and forth? Everything would have to be simplified.
It's not a coincidence, I've hated this new direction since it was revealed to be a completely different type of game than the previous games.
It's also not a coincidence that every single big time change received tons of push back from the people developing the game.
Is a single camera shot that important? Did the game need to suffer for this decision? How bout not being allowed to jump? Is this crowded camera angle so great that jumping needed to be removed?
I haven't seen a single thing that makes me want this game. And GOW is my all time favorite franchise. It, along with uncharted 4, was the reason I got a ps4.
@adf86 as opposed to almost any other scenario. This whole game seems weak as hell compared to the others. Pathetic father son bonding crap and a lame ass quest to dump some ashes? How the mighty have fallen.
The thing is, motion controls and the like inherently limit the gameplay design in games. I guess that's kinda true for most VR games too, though. PSVR definitely needs a revamped controller, and this looks to solve a major problem with the inclusion of analog sticks.
Who cares about the graphics when the story revolves around Kratos dumping the ashes of his wife at the highest peak? Shouldn't that totally lame premise be more of a concern?
I'm very curious about this game. It looks pretty good so far, but I'm worried the gameplay will suffer for the "cinematic feel" that Sony exclusives tend to go for.

@doctommaso that's going too far. It's not an abomination, but it definitely sucks.

@Jon_P they did just patent those updated Move controllers that have analog sticks, so maybe?
