I am pretty sure they try to give less discounts to users who buy often. It is most likely an algorithm that is reacting on the purchasing behaviour. People usually have personal common reaction when shopping, or at least we can be grouped by some criteria. For example a lot of people buy when there is 50%+ percentage promotion, but when they see less than 30%, they pass. Other criteria might be how much time passes between adding to wishlist and seeing promotion greater than 20% to click the 'add to cart' button. But... knowing that I as a customer, paying and with a subscription since 8+ years, can be classified as one with worse promo than someone else, makes me feel neglected and it is a terrible practice from the user's point of view...
Being negative is more success prone than being positive. It is always something that gets better count for impressions, comments, subs, etc.. Since always the people which want to complain from stuff are the louder than the ones which are satisfied.
I have been a PS+ user for over 8 years here in Bulgaria, and the current situation is wild. Since Sony began transitioning payments to the Euro, Bulgarian users have been completely cut off from promotions.
This issue started on December 16th and is still ongoing. For an entire month, we couldn't even make purchases using credit or debit cards. While card payments are working again and are now properly handled in Euro, we still don't have access to promotional pricing. To make matters worse, prices for many games have actually increased since the change - without any clear justification. This is particularly frustrating as these price hikes may conflict with local laws regarding currency transitions.
I hope a Sony official member sees this, because there has been absolutely no official information or communication regarding this situation from the local PlayStation social media accounts.
