This game still could be fun but I'm not so sure this on-rails approach will really work for this game. I think most people(myself included) would much rather have a traditional Ape Escape game. Cute song though.
Well, I picked up a Move controller yesterday but I haven't purchased any games for it yet so unfortunately I can't try it out. I know it sounds pretty pointless to buy the controller without a game but I only had so much money on hand and I wanted to get the controller just incase it sells out and becomes hard to find later on. I do plan on buying Sports Champions real soon though.
Great interview Dazza! I'm disappointed to hear that this game won't be coming to the US after all. Even though I already have this game on my DSi I was actually considering getting this version so I could try out the Move controls. It really does sound like fun plus that new Metropolis stage looks awesome! I wish that I could play it.
Darn, I would love to play this game with Move controls but I refuse to buy the Gold Edition since I already own the original RE 5 release. I think it's pretty lame that Capcom won't release a patch for both versions.
I already have this game on my DSi. While it is a pretty fun game, I'm not sure if I would be willing to purchase it again. Move controls would make it interesting but the price needs to be competative with the iPhone and DSi versions.
You're getting it Slapshot? I think that this game does look kind of fun but I'm just not sure if the experience will justify the $39.99 price tag. Let me know what you think of it when you do get it.
I totally agree with Slapshot, Move should only be implemented in games that can good use of it. There are way too many games on the Wii that tried to force motion control into them. I hope Sony doesn't make that same mistake.
Also, SquareEnix might be a little hesitant of attempting another motion-based RPG after the last game they tried that on flopped at retail; Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers. Then again, it wasn't really an RPG but more of an action-adventure game with quick time motion events. It was a good game but since it had the name Final Fantasy attached to it, a lot of people were disappointed when it turned out to be a completely different type of game.
Pretty good collection of demos. Nice to know that I can just download this from the Playstation Store since I will only getting the Move controller and not the Starter Pack.
I will be picking up the Move controller and eventually I will also get the Navigation controller. I've been meaning to pick up a copy of Heavy Rain and now that it will be Move compatible it is a definite must-have.
Hmm, that is interesting. I'm still a bit confused by the release dates because Amazon has a countdown timer stating that the Move will be released on the 17th here in the US. However, the GameStop website lists Move as shipping on the 17th which means that they could be releasing it on the 19th. I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.
Wow, you guys actually got some hands-on time with the Move already! That is awesome! Judging by your impressions, it sounds like a pretty impressive device so far. The calibration issue doesn't sound like too big of a deal. I just hope the lighting in my home will agree with the sensors. Did you guys unlock any trophies while playing Sports Champions or was this just a demo version of the game?
I've never even checked out Home on my PS3. I deleted it to make room on my hard drive. Maybe I'll re-install it since I'm getting the Move. On another note, I am unable to view Movemodo or any other site on my PS3 web browser because it does not work correctly. My PS3 browser freezes everytime I use it so I stopped using it. I'm using my Wii's web browser right now to check out Movemodo.
Monkeys on rails? Hmm, I'm not too keen on the on-rails approach but if they can make this game as fun as the original Ape Escape game then you can count me in!
I think Sony should not just be relying on word of mouth to sell the Move. Microsoft has been very aggressive in promoting Kinect so I think Sony should take a similar approach if they want to get a Move into as many homes as possible.
I'm not sure if I will be picking up the Move at launch. I do want one so it is probably best to snag one early before it becomes the rare sought after item this holiday season.
I really hope that they decide to release this game here in the US as it is currently only available in Japan. However, since PS3 games are not region locked I could always just import it but I'd rather not.
I can't believe that the Move is almost here! I already own a Playstation Eye Camera which I got from the Eye of Judgement Bundle so all I need now is the Move and the Navigation Controller. Oh and games of course!
I think Move has a lot of potential. I think we are going to see a lot of interesting games that will make good use of the Move's technology. I will definitely be picking one up this holiday season.

Re: MadCatz's Range of Move Accessories Sounds Surprisingly Useful
I'm not too crazy about any of these accessories. However, I really am considering getting this cool looking ray gun attachment for my Move: http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/16/playstation-move-shooting-attachment-in-pictures-the-ray-gun-yo/

I remember playing this game on my Xbox. It's a great game. I'm glad to see it getting the Move treatment. It should be a lot of fun.
