Re: Call of Juarez: Gunslinger Announced by Ubisoft

WolfRamHeart

@Pikachupwnage: I read that this will be on PSN and XBLA. I don't think that there are any plans for this on the PS Vita at the moment.

I never played any of the games in this series before. I heard that The Cartel was terrible but that the previous games were pretty decent. I enjoy the setting of the Wild West so I might give this one a try when it hits the PlayStation Store.

Re: Tomba! Will Be Playable on Vita from Tomorrow

WolfRamHeart

The update just went live here in the US! I'm downloading it right now!

EDIT: Okay, I have been experimenting with the update and I have managed to get a few PS1 Classic games onto my PS Vita by transferring them from my PS3 system via the Content Manager. Out of the PS1 Classics games that I own I was only able to get Castlevania Chronicles, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Silent Hill. I tried downloading through my download history on my PS Vita but no dice. I'm hoping that more titles will be added when the PS Store updates tomorrow. I really want to purchase Alundra and Arc the Lad 2 right now but I'm going to wait until I am certain that I can get them onto my Vita. There is also some really cool features that you can access by touching and holding your finger on the screen. You can adjust the size of the screen, bilinear filtering, sound, controls, etc. I'm playing Symphony of the Night on full screen setting and it fits the Vita screen perfectly. Try it out!

Re: PSone Classics Expand Vita's Library on 28th August

WolfRamHeart

Best news I've heard all day! I have a few PSone Classics already on my PS3 that I can't wait to play on my Vita. I am now going to purchase some more PSone games just so I can experience them on the go. Xenogears, Vagrant Story and Parasite Eve here I come!

Re: PlayStation Plus Cloud Storage Capacity Extends to 1GB

WolfRamHeart

More storage space on the Cloud is definitely a good thing. Sony seems to be unveiling a lot of pleasant surprises at today's GamesCom press conference.

Just how big is that save file for Afrika anyway? I bought that game a while back but I still have yet to crack it open and play it.

Re: Sony Confirms PlayStation Plus Is Heading to Vita

WolfRamHeart

I kind of figured that Sony would eventually implement PS Plus features for Vita owners as well. PlayStation Plus is a great service and I am extremely happy with the benefits that I am getting on my PS3. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us Vita owners as well.

I already have Red Dead Redemption on my Xbox 360 but it would be really cool if they offered it as a free game download for PS Plus subscribers here in the US.

Re: Vita Firmware 1.80 Implements Home Screen Button Controls

WolfRamHeart

Very welcome additions indeed! It was kind of annoying having to constantly swipe to navigate between menus. I didn't understand why you couldn't use the traditional controls as well but I'm glad that they are finally addressing this issue. Oh and of course the biggest and best part of this update is the ability to play PSone Classics! YES!!!

Re: First Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified Trailer Fires Online

WolfRamHeart

I saw the video earlier on the PlayStation Blog and I can see why they were reluctant to show it off at E3. I'm sorry but those graphics are extremely bad. This does not represent what the PS Vita is capable of. Shame because I was considering getting this but not anymore. I'd rather put my money towards the PS3 version instead.

Re: Talking Point: The Trouble with Trophies

WolfRamHeart

I don't have very many trophies but the two platinum ones I do have are for Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. Took a lot of time and effort but they were so satisfying to get.

@Turtlelink: Yeah, tell me about it; Stuffgamer, Slapshot and get2sammyb are gaming beasts when it comes to trophies!

Re: Review: Dragon's Dogma (PlayStation 3)

WolfRamHeart

@James: Thank you for your feedback. I was thinking about purchasing the PS3 version because I prefer the PS3 shoulder buttons and triggers to the 360 when it comes to this particular game. However, I think that I might just go with the 360 version this time around considering those technical issues that you mentioned. I appreciate the heads-up. As for the DLC, those types of additions aren't something that I am really interested in getting anyway so I guess I won't really miss them if I decide to pass on them. As long as the game has a substantial amount of content and it definitely sounds like it does, I am good to go. I'll be sure to pick this one up when I get the chance. Cheers mate.

Re: Review: Dragon's Dogma (PlayStation 3)

WolfRamHeart

Thanks for the review James. I am still undecided if I will be getting it at launch. My concerns are the same as @rjejr, I had a lot of the same issues with the demo. In addition I had problems with the camera. It seemed to go all over the place and I had to keep readjusting it, which I found annoying. Also, how is the screen brightness settings? I played both the PS3 and Xbox 360 demos. I found that the PS3 demo was visually much darker and harder to see even when the brightness was turned all the way up, I could hardly see anything when it became night time while I was fighting the Griffin. However, the Xbox 360 demo I had no problems with this but I did find that the PS3 version had a much better frame-rate and no screen-tearing. Oh and could you share any info you have regarding DLC for this game. Thanks in advance.

Re: Store Update: 8th May 2012 (North America)

WolfRamHeart

Not too much for me in this update. The PixelJunk sale is awesome but I already own almost all of those games. I will pick up PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe to complete the collection since Sony is planning on making it compatible with the PS Vita soon. I'm tempted to get Datura but so far the reviews for it have not been too kind. I think that I will wait for some more reviews before I take the plunge.

Re: First Soul Sacrifice Screens Are Grotesque

WolfRamHeart

That is some crazy artwork. The screenshots look very impressive. Hard to believe that this is a Vita game, it looks like a console game with those graphics. I hope that the gameplay will be just as impressive. Can't wait to hear more about this.

Re: Black Ops II Campaign Goes Heavy Rain

WolfRamHeart

It honestly looks a lot more interesting than I expected. I usually don't pay much attention to the Call of Duty series, mostly because I am not very good at FPS but this one looks like it has lots of potential. Good to see that they are doing something different.
