Do you want the good news or the bad news? Alright, we’ll start with the good: Dark Souls 2 has been announced. And the bad: Dark Souls 2 has been announced. The sequel made a surprise appearance during the Spike VGAs, sending masochists all over the globe into an uncontrollable frenzy. We were too busy thinking about Jessica Alba – who introduced the premiere – to pay much attention to the video, though.
Update: Just a little extra snippet to feed your brains before bed. Developer From Software has confirmed that Dark Souls 2 is a PlayStation 3 game – it's not next-gen. "Dark Souls 2 will offer loyal fans exactly the kind of demanding challenges and never-ending struggle that became the hallmark of this whole series," publisher Namco Bandai announced.
Update 2: We've added some screencaps from Dark Souls 2's trailer through here.

A recent interview with the dev (sorry for lack of source, I'll try find and edit this later) said he is looking to make the game far more accessible to everyone.
That could hurt the very thing that made the game so popular in the first place. I really wish they'd make a sequel to Demon's Soul's instead as I thought that was a hugely better game.
I was sat there thinking... This is Dragon Age III. Right? With the dragon and everything. Then it dawned on me that the Dragon Age team at BioWare probably couldn't ever come up with a trailer of this quality. Sad face.
I am a huge fan of both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. This is fantastic news! I absolutely cannot wait to play this!
yes...i loved dark souls
