Re: Bloodborne's Soundtrack Has Stolen Our Hearts

Swinny

Yep, listened to this a lot... In fact, I had it on repeat in the background whilst I was playing Demons Souls, it was freaking epic in the boss fight with the FlameLurker

The anticipation for this game is brutal, I am not exaggerating when I say I've never been so excited for a game, between this being Miyazaki's latest game AND the first(imo) true exclusive/system seller for PS4.....I'm starting to wish I stayed away from all information on this game because thanks to me staying informed, the wait for Bloodborne is making my life hell lol...

Re: Gamescom 2014: Sony Refuses to Rehash Previous Generation on PS4

Swinny

Sony has PS Now to worry about, whoever thought they were going to go way-overboard with the remasters didn't think things through properly.
If they do it too much, PS Now has no use, so its a given that they won't. TLOU made complete sense, as would an Uncharted collection for new PS owners looking forward to Uncharted 4.
They should continue to remaster games where it makes sense IMO.

As for what I'd LOVE to see on PS4-
Dark and Demons Souls.
Catherine
God of War III
Metal Gear Solid 4
Wipeout HD

And that's probably about it, these games I mentioned are so good that when I die I want to be buried with them, they truly hold a special place in my heart and you could remaster these 50 times, I'd buy them again and again and again. But maybe these don't actually make sense for the broader market- I'm just talking from my individual perspective.

Re: Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN May Be the PS4's Prettiest Fighter Yet

Swinny

OMG, most websites act as if this game doesn't exist, outside of last years TGS I haven't heard this game mentioned anywhere else, I wouldn't be surprised if 99% of gamers just don't know this game exists.
Its one of my most anticipated titles, I hope we get an actual release date soon. I live in the UK, it'll likely just appear in the shops with no prior confirmed release date, just as Blaze Blue Chronophantasma did(same developer). I really don't know how they expect these games to sell when the visibility is lower than most indie titles.

Re: Feature: Until Dawn's PS4 Re-Reveal Looms, Here's Everything We Know

Swinny

Thing is, as a piece of tech, you can't really criticize the Move, its fully functional, there is nothing wrong with it technically and to my knowledge, its the most accurate motion control in gaming. I had a ton of fun with it anyway, the House of the Dead games are essential to my game collection, and they're amazing to play on the PS Move, some of my favourite titles in the whole PS3 Library even- yes, right a long side games such as The Last Of Us and God Of War III, there is House of the Dead 3, 4 and 5 on my list of favourites. I think if people just gave it a chance, they'd come around sooner or later.
So as a horror nerd, and a guy who see's the potential in the Move, I was real excited for Until Dawn, now the thought of this being compatible with Morpheus is an exciting one since Morpheous- if I end up buying one- is going to be primarily for horror games

Re: This Tekken 7 Trailer Has Some of the Worst Voice Acting Ever

Swinny

What you talking about? The voice acting just adds to the charm, wow is it refreshing to have something that's so Japanese, and not overly-produced and perfect.
I need this in my life! haha I mean look at the original Resident Evil, apart from being the first piece of media to ever scare the crap out of me as a kid, the reason I'll remember it forever is for the legendary voice acting!!
''Now, you, the master of unlocking'' haha!!!! C'mon, if you want perfect voice acting, there is plenty games that can accommodate you, leave Tekken 7 alone, I want my cheesy japanese over-acting gawd dammit!

Re: Rumour: Nathan Drake to Scale PS4 in Enhanced Uncharted Collection

Swinny

The wait for Uncharted 4 is so damn agonising, hell, the wait for ANY Naughty Dog game on the PS4 is agonising, this collection would be real nice to hold me off until their PS4 debut.
The graphics in these games, espcially 2 and 3, still stand toe to toe with any game on the market, even today, even though these next-gen systems have been on the market for 3 months. And N.D developed these games in super high resolution and then down-scaled them to run on the PS3, so the next-gen versions have already been developed, technically speaking.
Imagine these games in 1080p 60fps with all graphical effects turned up to 11, this series is already a graphical powerhouse, the thought of putting them on PS4 makes me wet myself.
lol

Re: Talking Point: Is the Vita Really Dying a 'Slow, Painful Death'?

Swinny

The amount of Vita haters I've seen do a complete 180 after laying hands on this machine is astonishing, their comments shift between extremes. It goes from ''Vita is dying, terrible machine'' too ''Omg, I'm sorry guys, this is the best hand held experience I've ever had''. Put it this way, I can't count on two hands how many times I've seen this happen, it really is true that people just don't understand the appeal until they try it for themselves.
Me, I use mine daily and its never more than 10 feet away from me.

Re: Feature: Ten PS4 Games to Drag You Through the Next-Gen Drought

Swinny

My most anticipated title over all, by a land-slide, is Metal Gear Solid 5, each and every numbered edition to this series is a masterpiece and were the best games of all time at the time of their respective releases. I'm expecting big things from MGS5, MGS3 and 4 are tied for my favourite game of all time. Deep Down is out in Japan next month, hopefully it releases over here aswell as that's my second most anticipated title.
And there is plenty to play on PS4 atm, with games like Killzone, BF4, COD, War Frame, Resogun, Black Light, War Thunder, DC Universe etc... all of these are structured to last you a very long time, If you play games just to get to the end and nothing else, then yeah, there might be a drought for you.

Re: Slimmest Ever PlayStation to Be Unveiled in the UK Next Week

Swinny

I don't know if they'd dedicate a whole event to the Vita TV or a slim PS3, this has to be something else.
Here's my wish- A PlayStation console witch plays PS1 2 and 3 games, since its slim, its maybe all-digital, no disc-drive. In my dream, Sony would put a huge portion of the entire back-log on there, maybe 80% and up, available for purchase as digital downloads. It'd be very much like a physical version of PlayStation Now, as an entity of its own, difference being that you don't rent the games and you don't stream them, you buy them, keep them forever and play them on the local hardware. But of course, my dream machine is fully compatible with PSNow. Just a thought, I don't know what else it could be but they sure as hell arn't dedicating a whole event to the PS Vita TV, are they?

Re: This Footage of Thief Running on PlayStation 4 Looks Criminally Good

Swinny

Man, the cold look of the world contrasts nicely with the warm glow of the indoors, its such an ugly world- but in a good way- that I can imagine the contrast going on here when you find some beautiful jewellery, its really got a certain artistic style too it. I love how detailed everything is, if the gameplay is as detailed and as rich and 'contrasty' as the visuals then this could be amazing.
