Eh, I'm enjoying it. It's probably not going on my 2019 GOTY list due to its "flaws", but the character creation and decently fun gameplay got my interest enough that I don't regret putting down my $60.
I'm having hopes for the other versions to get the Switch's features. I'd hate to see hatred going about for those who opted for the earlier versions.
At the same time, though, most of my gaming time is spent outside of my house nowadays (at least, going by weekdays) and because I have a Switch, it's the best bet for me to being able to play any game anywhere, and DQ XI is no different for me.
Eh, I'm not too bothered by the scores (though I'm pretty sure there are far worse games than Jump Force, The Sixth Axis) since the Custom Character portion sold me on the product already, plus I've had a fair amount of history with some of the series represented here. This is going to be my first Jump video game, so whether or not it ends up being bad, I can't imagine Jump Force being worse than SNK Heroines or Touhou Kabuto V, even. THOSE fighting games were bad, no question.
Gotta hand it to Insomniac. They've made some good stuff throughout those years and they're the main reason I've stuck with Sony throughout all my years of gaming. Their Spider Man game also wowed me.
All that said, hopefully Insomniac has a brand new non-reboot Ratchet & Clank game headed our way soon. I've been itching for a new one since Into the Nexus.
It's not to say that FighterZ was bad since I did enjoy it, but I wish it would've been better as a Dragon Ball game. The game's art style and presentation does bring itself closer to the franchise, but the limited roster and stage selection does bring it down considerably for me, not to mention that the removal of full-on aerial combat made it less of a Dragon Ball game than it needed to be. Now, while I would say that Xenoverse 2 is much better in my honest opinion, I don't regret FighterZ for one bit.
Eh, I'm actually having a blast with it. Just beaten Sophie's story and I'm still playing the side quests and stuff. The game is evenly-paced for me and having all these playable characters (30 of them? Whoa, man. I don't think I'll get through them all! lol) gives me every incentive to replay the game further and further. It doesn't peak to the likes of Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U for me, but I know that I definitely enjoyed this much more than Dragon Quest Heroes 1 (It was a good game, but the combat felt sluggish for me and the RPG elements felt way too phoned in, not to mention damage sponge enemies, which I hate so much).
I definitely agree with the problems, such as the annoying backtracking in side missions, making missions more of a trial-and-error and weak ally AI, but neither of that were enough to ruin the game for me. I never had a problem with the story or the framerate (Hyrule Warriors on Wii U was at a much lower framerate for me and that still became my favorite Warriors title).
Not a lot left me interested. I mean, I'm interested in that new Spiderman game, but at the same time I need to hear more info about it before I put it on my list of preorders. And I honestly don't know if I really want to double dip on Undertale...
As a man who enjoyed the game on PC, I dunno if I want to double dip. In fact, I see this game more beneficial as a portable game (though I personally don't want to buy a Vita just for this game).
Personally, I'm not really much interested in most of the things this month for the PS4. Just waiting for Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy...
Wow, Cosmic Star Heroine finally has a release date!? I haven't been following much on this game since its announcement, but I have been interested in it and I can't wait to see what it is like. Yes, Push Square...I'm hoping it lives up to what it intends to be.
Yooka-Laylee, as much as I want it, is a toss-up between PS4 and Switch for me, though if what I hear about the Switch having lower framerate turns out to be true, then I guess PS4 for me.
I'm getting Lego City Undercover and Puyo Puyo Tetris for Switch.
Until Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy crashes into the store shelves, I'll be busy with my Switch in the meantime, thanks to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Bomberman R, among other games for it coming out such as Puyo Puyo Tetris, Lego City Undercover, and such. But even with all those games coming, it's too early for me to say whether the Switch trounces the PS4 or not...at least before Super Mario Odyssey hits the scene, which I will be getting without a doubt. PS4 on the go isn't really needed, but it would be a nice bonus.
This is pretty much the only Neptunia game I enjoyed. Its battle system left a very fond experience for me as it struck the dead-center spot between fun and strategic. Being given an AP gauge to gauge how much attacks the character can throw at the enemy was so satisfying and replenishing SP through hits is a big plus (and why the Victory battle system threw this out the window just baffles me). Sure, there were some frustrating moments, but nothing too bothersome like its later entries for me.

7/10 from me.

Come on, where's Ratchet & Clank?

Re: Everybody's Golf VR Takes a Shot in Virtual Reality Next Year
Sounds good, but what about Everybody's Tennis?
Re: Game of the Month: Top 4 PlayStation Games of August 2017
Warriors All Stars for me. Really fun game, despite its flaws, for me.
I would've voted Sonic Mania, but I have it on my Switch.

Re: Atelier Sophie: Alchemist of the Mysterious Book
5/10? Makes sense.
Re: Agents of Mayhem's Launch Trailer Reminds Us That It Isn't Saints Row
@RoyalGuard I'll take your word for it. Have it on preorder and I want to go pick it up tomorrow.

Re: E3 2017: Insomniac Games' Spider-Man Web-Slings into Action
Alright, I'm interested. Was curious about this game since I liked Insomniac Games, but now I actually like it.
Hopefully this game should make up for the lack of a new Ratchet & Clank game I wished for this year.

@FullbringIchigo Me too

So glad to see Saints Row living on in spirit

Re: Poll: What's Your Most Anticipated PS4 Game of 2017?
Just Crash Bandicoot for me.
Re: Puyo Puyo Tetris Clears Lines with Western PS4 Release
@Ralizah Me too. Games like this can be played anywhere and not just in front of a TV.
