@ChrisDeku your perception is wrong from the get go because Final Fantasy is already struggling TRYING to appease the AAA high quality template of gamers that aren't interested in their games.

You're trying to compare it in the same template as Monster Hunter which is a worldwide phenomenon at this point, Final Fantasy isn't that anymore. You keep saying "Final Fantasy is firmly established as a big budget game that pushes modern consoles " and that's not a positive, that's what hurting the IP rn.

I'm sure Capcom is also devastated that their 2nd best selling game of all time was Switch focused with majority of their sales being on that platform while it was also much cheaper to develop than World or Wilds.

The casual audience Square chases is non-existent/doesn't care and a large chunk of the audience that would be interested in their games - aren't on the platforms they're trying to push their games on(Playstation).

FF16 tried to appease to the west to its absolute limits, what did it get? Undersold and everyone forgot about it in less than a year. Came out on PC? Nobody cared, forgot about in less than a month. FF7 Rebirth? Undersold to the point where you have to make a public announcement that your games are going multiplat to Nintendo/PC and Xbox.

You can deny it all you want but the push Final Fantasy is making - doesn't work, the series is struggling. I hope to see you in a year or so when FF7 Remake Part 3 gets announced and Switch 2 will be a part of it Day 1.

To some extent but it won't be the same as it used to be with Switch 1, that's the point. The Japanese market has spoken, Playstation isn't as much of an attractive brand over there as it used to be anymore. Expect the likes of Atlus, Sega and Square to be building their big games with Switch 2 in mind moving forward. It won't matter if Switch 2 "isn't as strong as the others" because the base target will now change.

After how new FF games underperfomed and Square went public with "we will put our games on everything" initiative, you think the main point of contention was Xbox? It was obviously Nintendo and PC. With the current rumors of Remake and Rebirth to be Switch 2 bound this and next year, do you even have to ponder if Part 3 will launch on Switch 2? I don't.

@UltimateOtaku91 because it was in development before they even got NX devkits and as soon as they had them - they've announced that they're working on it in 2016. It was in the Switch reveal event in January 2017 before the OG version even came out. Because of that a lot of new content was also added to it which contributed to it taking longer to develop.

The OG game still came to a Nintendo console with a special version for 3DS which outsold the bigger version in the end anyways.

@ChrisDeku Dragon Quest XI launched on PS4 and 3ds and it sold 1.13mil copies on 3DS in its first week and 126,790 3DSs were sold.

Now imagine a hypothetical of how much bigger the split would've been if the 3DS version was replaced with the Switch version at launch instead - no contest.

Also Persona 6 for Switch 2 has been leaked to death by pretty much every insider including Nate the Hate, it's coming. Don't be too surprised if it gets announced during that April Switch 2 Direct.

@UltimateOtaku91 Dragon Quest 12 and Persona 6 are gonna be Switch 2 games as well so it wont matter. PS5 will barely get anything from it in Japan, the boost will be for Switch 2 instead.

Pretty generic month imo, Gotham Knights i've already played and beat and its like a 6/10 game at best, Alien Isolation/Dead Island/Outlast arent exciting when they're such ancient games that you can buy on every PSN sale for like 3$ and Disco Elysium I never really cared for.

I'm more excited to play scuffed PSP versions of Tekken 6/Soul Calibur 4 in 4k than anything else on here lol

Calypso is one of the best things about Twisted Metal and it seems like he's nowhere in this.

I liked Twisted Metal games for it's dark and disturbing story mixed with dark and "twisted" humor, while everything shown from this series seems like just dumb "haha Sweettooth is a crazy clown!!!! This is silly like Deadpool!!!" kind of humor.

I love everything Bryan is saying but the big part of Venom and why he's scary and why he was such a personal rogue to Peter was his host Eddie Brock. When Bryan announced that it's not Eddie who's Venom in this, I was actually quite disappointed.

If it's the obvious Harry choice, a choice that was done in Ultimate cartoon that nobody liked, then that would be extremely lame and automatically make him not scary or intimidating, because it would be the "best friend controlled by Alien" trope instead of 2 forces of nature that combine in their shared hatred and want to destory Peter Parker's life.

Just my 2 cents.

Any microscopic interest I had in this game - gone.

This just feels like a lazy recompile to sell the game as ”new” again. Everything they showed in the trailer is exactly the same as it was in every previous Storm game, same boss fights, animations, graphics. The only difference I noticed is that it will be 60fps now.

It was mostly boring, nothing really exciting was shown or announced. Felt like I watched a bunch of youtube pre-vid ads for 40 minutes.

If you're adding DMC5 to Premium, why not just add DMC1-3 and 4SE to Extra tier of classic games/remasters? I guess that just makes too much sense.....

@MetalGear_Yoshi actually it's even worse with Sony compared to Nintendo now. With the Switch Expansion Pack you're basically guranteed to have at least 1 N64 game and 3-4 Mega Drive/SNES games per month added to the service, sometimes even more, they kept to this schedule for more than half a year at this point.

Right now PS Plus Premium basically has no scheduling or a lot of interest from Sony if they can just skip a month so willy-nilly.
