Wow what a waste of time. This is getting ridiculous why even bother with a state of play to show things we already have or know about. None of these are even interesting and the ones that are monster hunter etc... we already know about.
@vapidwolf if you weren't a fanboy for Sony Playstation and looked at things objectively you would admit this is a big acquisition. Whether you like the games are irrelevant a lot of people do. Trying to underplay this I doubt you have a gaming rig worth much also.
@vapidwolf blame Playstation they pulled the punches with the exclusive games and Microsoft still isn't exclusive the games are on PC also. Console exclusivity isn't that big a deal to begin with unless you are one of those people who only play on console. I don't understand those types of people anyway but more power to you pal you need an XBOX for Bethesda games now get one or get over it is all I can say.
@naruball depends on what store they are on and you can't keep track of PC sales as well as console sales because consoles only have one place to buy games digitally. PC has EGS steam GOG GreenManGaming Origins Uplay G2A humble bundle kinguin etc... you can't exactly pinpoint how many copies sell on a PC. You can exactly pinpoint how many copies sell on a console quite easily though.
@sanderson72 it's also gonna be on PC which is bigger than both PS5 and series x combined so no, they don't have to put the game on PlayStation. Not sure why you guys always forget us we are the biggest gaming demographic in the world.
@Darth_Stofi as a PC gamer I say exclusives are anti consumer in general but Xbox has to respond to Sony and they hold up and promote exclusives so this is their answer to that
@carlos82 you are correct but it may not remain to be years later soon it may be day and date releases which I don't mind, but you know people are gonna whine about that.
@Sanquine yeah probably explains why the PS5 is so big probably to help cooling so it won't sound like a jet engine and better cooling means better performance
@SilkySmile89 I don't think they are being dishonest with you they are being sketchy and they are hiding thimgs. Corporations do this all the time it's not surprising really, but I believe the remaster is immensely important for the PC players who missed it. I played and loved the game myself but it ran poorly a 60FPS port would make it even more appealing
@Falkirk4life I wouldn't be so sure about that. I work in this industry and it is undergoing a massive shift especially lately. I think the cost of games going up and the new pricey features of next gen such as ray tracing and higher HDR support the performance options etc... it's just less financially responsible to release and exclusive game at this point because of the razor thin profit margins. you will be seeing more and more PC ports and timed exclusives in the future. I know you won't like that but brace yourself it is coming.
@SilkySmile89 actually as a developer myself who works doing C++ coding for character models and animations I think it's like this. I think that the hike in game prices is because cost of development is going up. they are adding things like ray tracing and higher HDR support more performance options they add up. that is also more than likely the reason both sony and microsoft are releasing on the PC at this point in time. exclusives are just becoming less financially responsible in the current market.
@Broosh not necessarily depends on what version you are gonna get the PS4 version for the plus collection more than likely a direct port. the remaster probably gonna be enhanced and the rumored added content is more than enough incentive to buy I think
@Sanquine the PC is an open platform anyone can publish on and the game is still exclusive you won't be able to get it on the competitor's platform so what's the issue? it a great game and deserves a remaster I think and the PC guys will buy it like hot cakes me included I want to play again but no PS4 anymore it broke
@AlisonPentouseus again though a 2.5gbps ssd with a higher GPU would have been able to do the same by that logic since it doesn't require the full 5gbps to do it in fact less than half so less than 2.5gbps is needed to do it in that regard focusing on the GPU would have been a bigger improvement hands down
I appreciate the thought but the only thing this article says is that it allows them to skip a level of detail within the games due to faster cache as in no elevators and no loading scenes etc...but that isn't in any way attributed to the GPU and that wasn't in the article at all not sure where you came up with that
@TheAdza you don't have to build an expensive PC you can build a good 1080p to 1440p 144 to about 120 FPS gaming PC for about 650$ I can get a parts list for you if you want. And Sony is starting to release more games on the PC like Horizon which I bought played and enjoyed quite a bit and a promise of more to come not sure what but exciting nonetheless
@JJ2 I wouldn't say its underpowered and as an IT teraflops depend heavily on architecture and many other factors so comparing 2 different things running on different architectures with teraflops is pointless and just marketing speil because teraflops are measured differently in pretty much any piece of hardware so you are correct teraflops are not a good unit of measurement I agree
@RaZieLDaNtE and Sony plans to bring more exclusives to the PC also so you can support them twice and double dip like me what are your predictions? I am hoping for bloodborne on PC soon
@AlisonPentouseus yeah the SSD is impressive but real world performance speeds of the SSD can only see gains to a certain amount wish they would have put the extra effort into the GPU rather than the SSD but its a nice addition I suppose
@carlos82 this is why I advocate for Sony to release more titles on the PC I have a feeling scalpers and inflation are gonna make ps5 next to impossible to get at launch
I have a feeling scalpers and artificial inflation are gonna be rampant at launch I will stick to my PC for the time being and wait it out till this is over with
@Ken_Masters yeah except that is wishful thinking if they want the PC players to invest they aren't interested in console hardware they want to play on their PC its a big investment for them and not remaining in the market and only showing up when an exclusive they want shows up doesn't help with revenue flow they aren't contributing much because they don't remain in the market so rather than trying to convince them to join their market, why not expand it? They are interested in the games not the hardware from most I know myself and other friends I have a couple who will pick up the console but solely for exclusive games its not a viable business strategy since the consoles sell at a loss if they charged full price it wouldn't matter as much but they don't do that
@Grindagger I don't care about that and obviously Sony doesn't either or they wouldn't be porting the games the PC platform is not a console competitor they can take advantage of it if they choose to
@Artelous xbox had exclusives before they started releasing on the PC and some of the older titles are not on PC yet viva pinata and rare replay etc..., need more examples?
and everyone here talking about devaluing the brand something you may want to consider is the PC platform is not in competition with the console market it is its own independent ecosystem and Sony wants to fold PC into its ecosystem and expand the market you say you don't benefit, so sony won't get more money for sequels of the games you claim to love so much?
@art_of_the_kill literally nothing you just said matters if you only buy consoles for exclusive games and you know they are coming to PC instead of complaining why not just get a PC or enjoy them on your console? because yeah it is a fanboy mentality if you are angry more people get to play a game because they didn't buy your box to play it on its none of your business where others choose to buy or play sonys games
@Akurusu they don't care about your opinion they just want the money and if people move to PC then they will have more reason to release there if people stop buying the console

@AdamNovice unless you are a shareholder for Sony or a PlayStation executive you don't lose anything why do you care?

@AFCC depends on what you mean by compete hardware wise Microsoft sells a lot more software than hardware so in that sense yes I suppose so
Re: Reaction: PS5 Price Under Scrutiny After Disruptive Xbox Series S Reveal
@hulkie there are rumors of a shortage so it is likely but either way it will be worth the wait if you truly want all those playstation exclusives man

@Si_Is_The_One they will probably be higher but the games should be better so that is something

Re: Don't Panic, But More PlayStation Exclusives Will Come to PC
@Ken_Masters I don't necessarily think more games going to PC matter people who want a console will still buy the console anyway
Re: Don't Panic, But More PlayStation Exclusives Will Come to PC
At this point it's risky to trust anyone in the games industry
Re: Don't Panic, But More PlayStation Exclusives Will Come to PC
@JustNeepz no because they have been outsourcing the ports and not doing them in house anyway so why would it cut into development time?
Re: Don't Panic, But More PlayStation Exclusives Will Come to PC
@Grindagger and let's just see after a few years down the road after launch of the ps5 is old news if they care so much about hardware
Re: Don't Panic, But More PlayStation Exclusives Will Come to PC
@Grindagger I don't care about that and obviously Sony doesn't either or they wouldn't be porting the games the PC platform is not a console competitor they can take advantage of it if they choose to
Re: Don't Panic, But More PlayStation Exclusives Will Come to PC
@Grindagger except they aren't throwing us a bone we have to pay for these games and much more than you do on PlayStation at that
Re: Don't Panic, But More PlayStation Exclusives Will Come to PC
@Beasley2K that is like saying console gaming is the only way to play but that just isn't true
Re: Don't Panic, But More PlayStation Exclusives Will Come to PC
@Ken_Masters corporations don't have principals either
Re: Don't Panic, But More PlayStation Exclusives Will Come to PC
@Ken_Masters you should never trust the head of any corporation when money is involved
Re: Don't Panic, But More PlayStation Exclusives Will Come to PC
@Arnna I am beginning to wonder with you people why does a corporation do anything? Since you don't seem to know I shall enlighten you it's MONEY!!!
Re: Don't Panic, But More PlayStation Exclusives Will Come to PC
@Col_McCafferty yes I am sure that is why they are releasing them on my platform and making you butthurt
