@rjejr I haven't heard of Man in High Castle. I don't normally watch dramas, but the theme is what got me with Silo and the character relationships kept me.
I never had any interest in Twisted Metal at all, so I didn't see that. I couldn't tell you a Sony game I would want to watch. I rather watch movies instead though.
@rjejr Sorry, I do enjoy action comedies more than dramas, however.
The two seasons of Silo (20 episodes), do have action, music, and colour. They are used differently than Fallout. Comedy would be misplaced in Silo but it does fits within Fallout, especially with the intended target audience.
I find Silo more interesting and serious where Fallout is more of a live action cartoon, not that there's anything wrong with that. They offer the same setting but are completely different in tone.
I eagerly await the new season of Silo and will watch it with undivided attention. Fallout season two will be watched as a second screen show.
@SaltySpitoon957 To be fair, the goal is only to make as much money as possible with the smallest investment. End user satisfaction is never priority number one. Ever. But I do agree with you.
I think what a lot of people forget is that an IPs fanbase rarely grows beyond a certain point. As people age up, or die, the fan base gets smaller and smaller. As well as a persons changing of interests or taste.
Do I want a new Sonic game with a Chao garden? Of course! Will I buy it? Maybe. Will I play it as much as I did with Sonic Adventure 2? No way. Will the new generation of customers buy/play it? Most likely not.
Sony is the manufacture of BD discs. This makes sense. I assume, it costs publishers more than Sony to have discs pressed, especially dual layered Blu-ray discs.
@liathach You're 100% right. Half of the comments will be butthurt PlayStation CUSTOMERS mad that Xbox software is heading over to PlayStation overtaking first party sales and they'll look for any reason to punch down at other CUSTOMERS who enjoy the titles they purchased.
I don't care what hardware people play on or what software they play, as long as they're having fun. Some of you people need to grow up.
@Lup following a guide isn't really playing it as much as following someone else directions. But yes, people can experience how they like. For games I don't want to actually play, like the newer Mortal Kombat games, I'll just watch a video cut as a movie.
I've always failed to see the point of using a guide while trying to experience a game. There's no discovery is you use a guide like this.
It's like people who look up "meta" for anything. Why even bother if you're not going to get to experience it out of your own eyes?
And before anyone says it, yes, a second play through would make sense except personally I would much rather move on to the next title of my backlog. It's like reading a wiki about an entire tv show or movie and then watching all of it.
Strange the article title doesn't name EA as well; it is in the body of the article. Again, this post is presented to show Microsoft/Xbox in a negative light.
The title: "Microsoft has spent close to $100 billion on historically third-party publishers and developers over the past few years, but now it’s been sniffing around Ubisoft’s intellectual property as well." and the first paragraph: "Microsoft has spent close to $100 billion on historically third-party publishers and developers over the past few years, but now it’s been sniffing around Ubisoft’s intellectual property as well." really has nothing to do with the article itself.
Again, Push Squared with click bait and toxic console war flame fanning. Don't be the Fox News of game websites. Be better.
Lots of prejudice in the comments again. Not surprising. People on Push Squared are so negative on anything that is not Sony.
Stephen Tailby, it might be time to stop making opinion articles based on rumors that don't have anything to do with Sony hardware or ecosystem. You're just pushing toxicity to the user base in the comments.
@EfYI If you wanted to play it for a lower price there are other options available. Nothing greedy about a company releasing a product for people to buy. If you can't afford something like a videogame, which no one needs, don't buy it.
@EfYI Oof. Toxic fandom right here. I'd rather play Mario Kart 8 on Wii U than Gran Turismo 7 on PS5. What's your point, and of course we're going to compare.
"Speaking of pricing, the standard edition's coming in at $59.99 — which may raise a few eyebrows given that the game first released in 2021 for Xbox and PC."
Someone needs to look at when God of War came out for the PC and the price. It was out 6 years after the PS4 version and costs how much? I really wish personal opinion of the "news" poster wasn't included in it post.
@InJeffable The game is new. It just came out. Stop trying to justify being cheap.
This is a wait to see it in real world use type thing. If it works, it works. I'm not going to prejudge something that isn't in the masses' hands yet.
One thing I will say is I'm not a fan of negative opinion articles. There's nothing in this post that is positive. Even within the first sentence the article states: “This week, Microsoft unveiled its latest venture into generative AI technology, and it's getting a mixed reaction, you could say.”.
However, this article doesn’t reference a mixed reaction only negative. This is really just a hit piece. It's like I'm reading Foxnews.com.
Cross-play is nice, cross-save is better, but there's no cross-buy. So close. This is the last thing the games industry needs to do. I want to play the game on my PC in my office, then move to the living room to play on my Xbox, and then play on the go on my Switch.
This isn't a Microsoft product like all the other games listed in the article. It's a little misleading making it sound like Microsoft is bringing it over without outright saying that.
With that said, it's been on PC since September 20, 2023. So players never had to play on Xbox if they wanted to play it.
@LetterTrackHighlight I find that PushSquare is, unfortunately, the worst for console wars propaganda within their network. I'm actually surprised they list PureXbox in their friends section at the bottom on the site.

The Fallout show is good, but Silo is better in almost every way-for me anyways.

Not sure how this is 'News'. Having a prejudice take on a title you haven't played yet is very odd.

@MysticFartRipper Yup.
Re: Helldivers 2 Xbox Announcement Prompts Avalanche of Spider-Man Port Begging
Do it. It's more money for them.

A Blu-ray disc can't even natively fit the whole game on it. So get ready for the whinners to whine.

@SaltySpitoon957 You'll have to elaborate. I haven't purchased a "AAA" game in well over a decade.
Re: Stolen PS1 WipEout Games Axed from the Xbox Store
@Kidfunkadelic83 Me neither.

Re: Stolen PS1 WipEout Games Axed from the Xbox Store
@Kidfunkadelic83 A.I. remasters will be a thing in a few years and still be full price.
Re: Stolen PS1 WipEout Games Axed from the Xbox Store
@SaltySpitoon957 because it would never make its money back. Sony has dozens of IPs they don't touch because they would lose money.

People are forgetting this is about revenue. The Xbox release generates revenue and so will the PlayStation release.
We could see Microsoft published games generating more revenue than Sony published games on Sony hardware eventually.

@Mikey856 Nope. I can still play it on Xbox and now you get to experience it as well. That's a good thing.
