@Hesse this is exactly whatI think they need to do moving forward. They have always pushed thier systems as entertainment systems where they play movies, games & music and if its true and the next ps6 is digital only with no additional on disk drive I can see this hurting the company bad. Especially if there isn't much of an upgrade between the systems. Why would anyone upgrade to something that's more expensive, 'a little bit better' and then have to purchase a DVD, blue ray, 4k player ontop of the purchase to watch thier movie collection?? I'm all for new shiny systems but don't take away choices at the same time.
@Yaycandy I believe once you sell the copy of the game you have then the next person who buys it from you will then own the digital copy too so that there is only one digital copy at any one point in time. That's how I read the article anyway. The digital copy that you own will need the physical disk to activate it again.
@MisterWhen Who has that much spare space on thier hard drive anyway? Surely having most of the game stored on disk then have a play disk like Cyberpunk 2077. Dunno but I recon the might just loose some sales here like Alan Wake 2 did by doing this. I know it's a totally different game and developer but the release is aiming to be the same.
@Fishysensei I don't understand the point in RS releasing a physical copy at all. Isn't it all just a waste of plastic, paper & ink. Essentially creating more waste on this planet for no reason at all. There's actually no point at all on having it as you can't re-sell it later if you so choose. Infact, if its a digital code only in the box then you might as well just purchase digital anyway and get to play it a week early. And if thays the case, Isn't the actual release date the 12th of November now?? I dunno, something seems off here. No physical disc, no purchase from me. Remember, Alan Wake 2 did this also and shot themselves in the foot in the process.
What about and dare I say it, but what about an announcement of an exclusive deal for GTA6 with some gameplay? I know, I know, it's a stretch of the imagination.......but... what if?

Re: New Senua Game Reveal Used as a Way to Sell Ninja Theory to Suitors
I think that Sony could help out here and get these developers back.
It fits Sony's portfolio better that Microsoft's ever did anyway.
