@LogicStrikesAgain yes, game was already started, but it wouldnt be hard to implement characters. I am guessing they wouldnt even try such game with own IP at all. It is just amusing for me. To have something similar to Marvel Rivals, where everyone is against everyone and having fun with characters they like the most.
Now all that game is dead, all that design will be thrown in bin, and even if they will return to similar game, they cant really use visually anything from there, because it will be straight away compared to their biggest fail.

Lets see what are they trying to create moving forward.

I am atleast happy, that they acknowledge their mistake and are stating, that they will try learn from that. Hopefully they will reallybunderstand what went worng and will not repeat it

@rjejr Everygame has to sell 10 million copies or it is failure It is specific game for specific audience. It straight away goes to PS5 Classic games imo, and will be touted as one of best PS5 games. Even if I dont like it, I think it is success and hopefully they didnt spent 100million for development and it is already in proffit. Not all games has to be blockbusters.

@Th3solution when New audience is everyone who hasnt bought 1st party game in 2 years, it is already stretching something. Imagine selling 65million PS5, game sell 1.5million copies. And 37% is new audience. Companies like to create beautiful statistics with large numbers

Maybe I am totally dillusional. But why Sony needed to create such game as New IP? Why it couldnt start as Playstation All Stars type of PvP shooter? Imagine rooster of Kratos, Uncharted guys, TLOU, Astro Bot, and everyone else and it would start as that? And then you add brand new characters with Background. Even I would like to play something similar to that.

I would speculate that each game could have Unique identifier, and they could easily see who plays second hand game in that way. Unless you keep console without ever going online, very unlikely. I would assume that they would have such system to track specific data like that. Each car in world has Unique identifiers, why wouldnt games, which are sold in lower volume wouldnt had that?

@Max_the_German I don't doubt it. It is probably one of best PS5 games, especially if Controller vibration is thing you like, I love games with great Haptic Feedback. But platformers in general is not my cup of tea.

@Th3solution you really think that Sony cant see all data connected to your PSN account? If you havent launched those games on your account, you dont have that game.

@somnambulance better than Stellar Blade? I beg to differ. Those are teo different games. You could say that you prefer Astro bot more than SB. I have bought FF7 Rebirth, Stellar Blade and I have 0 interest in Astro Bot. But I am not claiming that SB is better game because of that.

@Alps_Stranger it is already extra thing they can easily take away if they want. It is not mandatory for them to have such scheme in first place. Nothing to do with competition.
I use Stars program to enjoy 4% cashback, but I am not sure that option will stay available for long period of time.

Game gets balance update every 3 months. I just wanted to point out, that first big balancing is less than 4-5 mo ths away and secondly, don't expect it to be good or finished. You are giving some strange predictions and thats what I tried to point out.

@kyleforrester87 It has Couch co-op from day one. Only "Guest" needs its own Blizzard account to log on and good to go. It is high Quality coach Co-op when I tried it out. Easy to play. Each can open skill tree/Inventory at same time.

@ScottyG Blizzard is balancing game every Season. It will never be "Balanced" nor finished.

@GamingFan4Lyf definately you are right with that. But look at gaming, it needs to sell so many copies to be viable, especially for called AAA gaming. Star Wars Outlaws sold 1 million copies and it is likely considered "flop" for Ubisoft. They refer "soft sales". No wonder everyone waits on R* GTA6 and hopes they will push for higher standard price.

Ofcourse you want to sell game as many places possible. Sony probably are testing waters and collecting data and probably sees, that selling game on PC doesnt really affect console sales as much. Games cost fortune to make, you have to monetize as much as you can. People in general will not buy games for 100, so best is to look towards PC market. And its great, that games goes multiplatform in my opinion. I play mainly on PS, but I dont see that as proble if game goes to PC.
And Sony has lost so much money on potential live service games, it cant really afford to give nothing cheap. It is big corporation where Gaming is huge proffit and revenue maker.

@ORO_ERICIUS microsoft sells Series X at 549,99€ at its homepage. If someone sells for 499,99€, then it is probably discount

@GamingFan4Lyf Somehow you forget that Sony makes 30% of any digital purchase in its store. Playstation wins more and more when Xbox puts all new games on Playstation with some delays.

@Medic_alert why you need in general make such limited run, if there are more buyers? Same as Premium brands, its just to make design more valuable. They could easily make 123 000 instead of 12 300 or even more. They could sell plates etc. Especially when they sold Pro bundle for such reasonable RRP price. It is just open gates to resell it because of scarcity. Lets guess that PS5 has 60 million consoles worldwide. 12 300 is just 0,02%. I know, PS4 was same run. Just salty that I didnt get one.

Those listings doesnt brake rules. I reported around 5 for testing, and all was declined by automatic system. As you can see, then his reply was from manual removal from Customer support.
If only someone is eager to run through EBAY tos and provide that there is rule for inflating price. I would say, ebay doesnt really have rules against it.

@themightyant Why not? Reality will be that less people will swap from PS5 to PS6. PS5 will be relevant console for longer by looking at PS4 as example and how that is still kicking around. For PS6 to be cheaper than PS5 Pro doesnt make sense. You would expect that PS6 will be more powerful console. That is not cheap. There needs to be some sort of price crash in silicon manufacturing.

Regular PS5 PRO was "sold out" only for 3-4 hours. It is available from yesterday afternoon without issues.

I will buy it. Probably near to Launch date. So many games I could play has PRO Enhanced mark. So no point of waiting longer. I would like to get 30th anniversary, but I am not buying it 2nd hand.

Its already down to 3k. Value dropping fast. Hopefully those who put Auction get trolled aswell with "fake" bids.

@carlos82 i went to page 8:06. It stated that direct uk is on pause from 8:05. It let me in after 2 hours, I was in queue all that time. It was sold out as soon I tried to buy it. Thats my experience. That is about Pro 30th bundle. Regular PRO was available for lot longer.

Yeah, I like to see GOW Ragnarok on Steam. Great, but at same time it rubbers salt. Deluxe edition costs 59,99£, while on PSN is is just 79,99£. Steam takes 30% cut aswell. I am for great value for older games, but why not lower base price on PS5? Oh because they can do what they want. I am just salty, thats all.

@caiol92 Sony told that 75% choses performance mode if there is choice. You are stuck somewhere in past. You do you, but 60fps is way to go.

@NEStalgia look at bigger picture. Why would PS6 push higher GPU power for 4k 60fps? At this point we have reached console limits price/performance. There is no value and market for lets say 4k 120fps PS6, which would cost at best same price as PS5 Pro.

Imagine that 50% of active Playstation User base couple months ago was on PS4 systems. It will be so much harder to move people from PS5 to PS6 in4 years time. All games will come out on PS5 anyways, it will be 4k 30fps console for so long time. You will pick up PS6 if you want 4K 60+FPS, with PSSR 2.0, RT 2.0. That is my prediction.

@Ainu20 that is not Sony who is selling for that price. Those are likely 3rd party sellers. They can charge as much as they want.

But be realistic, PS5 Pro on its own should be compared to PS5 Digital version not with DiscDrive. It is 389£ vs 699£ (+1TB). It is way more than 50% increase.

@Kevw2006 yeah, there is 0 backtracking. Only giving bonuses for new purchases. I guess that is intentional to push for extra purchases and give nothing for those who already did tasks before promotion.

I have picked 10x 5£ till now.
But in general it is 4% Cashback. That means in 13 months you have to spend in PS Store atleast 125£ to get those 5£ and/or gain some points by completing tasks. I don't do any of those tasks. If you spend less per 13 months, then Stars program is good only for those collectibles.
