Whilst a price-drop to undercut MS, who have already been forced to start stripping away at their package would make me laugh heartily, I think the most hilarious business move would be to put the PS camera in the box - at no extra cost. Christ almighty, the internet would melt.
Gravity Rush 2 (a PS4/Vita crossbuy would be amazing!)
Project Beast
The Last Guardian
Something new from Media Molecule
Wipeout!
I'd also love Rockstar to swoop in with Agent, or something equally unexpected (Bully 2!). Looking forward to seeing some Uncharted and The Order too of course!
@SecondServing Amen to that. I had some nightmarishly long sessions just trying to connect with others in DS1. It's one area where the PC always stood out. Plus now that Miyazaki is at the helm of From Software - hopefully we'll see lots of big things from the Souls series!
Yes! Glad they're demoing but I'm sure it won't affect my preorder. Just gotta hope they do some solid roster updates after release. No TJ Dillishaw is the only real turn off for me right now!
Bracing hard for this! It has quite a Van Helsing vibe to it, what with the coat/hat and shotgun(?). Hopefully that theme stays prominent, I really like it. Be quite nice to see them adopt some Monster Hunter elements too - but equally so, if they stick to the Souls formula - I'm totally okay with that. One of my favourite series in recent years!
I think the side mission debate is something that will always plague the community. For me, completion of them is attached heavily to atmosphere. For instance, I fell in love with Second Son - I 100%'d the game on Hero and I'm currently two thirds into an Infamous playthrough which again, I'll likely 100%. If I didn't love the look and feel of the city, the story of the DUP and the Conduits, I probably wouldn't be doing it. Plus, doing all the side quests carried some worth - particularly on Expert... those Shards are crucial!
On the flip side, I loved GTA V and whilst some of the side missions were incredible (Particularly the Church story) some of them were a bit much. Sure, collecting 100 hidden packages in GTA 3 was fine, but Nuclear Waste, the Murder trail AND UFO parts? Too much collecting for very little reward. Not for me particularly. I never made 100% out of sheer boredom.
Somewhere there's a good middle ground... But I'm yet to find it!
I'm pleased! Trine was on my to-play list, and I'm happy to finally try out PJ Shooter. I tried Lone Survivor on PC, but I'll give it a go again (specifically on Vita). I'm most stoked for Dragon's Crown, and I would've tried NBA but I'll pass on the PS3 edition.
In all, a pretty good month, though I'm quite jelly of America getting Mudds and Terraria. Very interested to see how the new changes to the service's structure pan out over the coming months.
Oh and that Injustice price drop is very welcome too!
Hope it's true! I waited for the physical version of The Walking Dead - and I've been holding out that a physical Wolf Among Us would appear. And if all goes well, I'll do the same with Tales from The Borderlands and Game of Thrones!
Injustice Ultimate Edition has had its price chopped to £12.79 on PS4... At the same time as Borderlands on Vita. And Murdered is barely over a week away.
@ToOGoodOfAPlaya Time is a healer my friend. I'm sure one day we'll look back on the early days of the PS4's Plus service and laugh as we tuck into our next AAA meal. Sorry you've not enjoyed them, but hey, there's still more announcements for June's plus update. I hope it pans out well for you!
EDIT: I really need to ease off on the food based metaphors.
Insanely tempted by this. First time a Battlefield game has truly piqued my interest since 1942 on PC, I'm very keen to see more on the campaign but I'm not quite sold on the multiplayer yet.
@ToOGoodOfAPlaya Well, its not really all that subjective... If you get served raw chicken, it's poor quality food. If it's cooked and seasoned well, it's much better quality. Maybe you don't like chicken? Well fine, but the restaurant doesn't have beef on the menu right now. Sorry.
The same applies here - you're getting well made, nice looking (imo) and not totally broken titles that offer a pretty wide variety of gameplay. I appreciate that there are other titles you'd prefer from the PSN library but you can't look over the list of PS+ releases so far and deny them of quality or variety. If you're not into anything that has been released so far, then you're possibly a tad on the picky side.
@rastamadeus Good points. I'm not disputing those things at all, there have been some lapses in service quality but I try to remain positive that the future will only bring better things! Yes, you're entitled to your opinions - as am I, but I'm just tired of the moaning now. Every mention I see about Plus is inundated with "hurrr Indies durrr" and little else in the way of how the service should be performing and not just "I don't want ____ game, I want _____ game." That's my real gripe in all this!
I think we should just be thankful we get anything at all, and aren't just paying to be online!
If this turns out to be true, I think its great news! I never played Shooter despite hearing nothing but praise, and Dragon's Crown has been on my 'to play' list for quite some time. If I had to grumble, i'd maybe like to see another title alongside Shooter. But then the first Evergreen should be landing soonish anyhow so that overrides my quibbles.
I'm not sure quite how people can complain when they're being given quality like this, I mean sure, compared to the last few months of PS3s releases, PS4s may seem a little light - but Stick It To The Man alone was worth the 90 day subscription fee alone IMO. (Sad I missed some of the earlier releases but I'm still happy overall).
I'm not even sure what it is people expect from Plus right now? The way some people seem to complain you'd think they were expecting Sony to turn around and say "Oh hey, take any 5 free games of your choice! Enjoy!" It's unrealistic and pretty damn ungrateful.
But, as we all know, at times like this we must refer to the ancient scriptures and tablets for words of great wisdom... "Haters gonna hate."
EDIT: All that said, I won't be TRULY happy until Binding of Isaac appears on PSN. ;D

Oh and of course, more from Quantic Dream!

So many possibilities... My wish list:

This has totally passed me by until now. Count me in, looks fun!

This is definitely on my radar though!
