@Porco Sadly that is what worries me ence why let's see how it plays out. The only thing we can do is take care of our current hardware and hope it lasts for quite a bit.
I'm a pc gamer so see this would cause big hurt to people looking to make affordable builds but, also see lots of problems in the console market for ram pricing (increase console price 1) and also looking at latest rumor on Nvidia (potentially no longer packaging gddr memory with GPU chips and leaving it to suppliers), I have a feeling Amd may follow suit and leave console manufacturers looking to procure that themselves (increase price 2).
The other rumor from Moore law video is that he heard but can't confirm that apparently they (open ai) are sending people in stores buying out all of existing consumer ram kit and that they are piling up so much ram ATM that they still haven't decided how to use it(how bad is that!).
I hope someone is looking at this and does something about it (any kind of law or something about market monopoly) because by looking at things how they are now, be it console gamer, pc gamer even my fellow mobile gamer or general consumers that requires this kind of items, we are more and more looking to be royally ...dot... !

Will see how this will play out in the end.

Re: PS5 Pro Announced, Costs $700 and Out in November
£699 ps5
£99.99 disk drive
£24.99 console stand
£823.98 total if one wants to jump from ps4 or ps5 standard to this.
You know what else worries me?
If a ps5 pro costs nearly £700, what will be the price of a ps6?
