When 5g cable infrastructure becomes the norm in every home... it may just work. Good ol'Phill Harrison though. That guy has worked for every major platform holder since forever.
I've yet to get a single share-play session initiated, as it always says that the connection is not good enough, and I've tried in the last 5 apartments I've lived in (Sydney too, not the middle of Whoop whoop).
Well none of them will get the Aussie gaming market. Our internet is complete rubbish. Even with NBN (fibre roll-out), I still see drop outs and other issues. Average DL rate here is 10mbs, average upload is 0.8mbs, good luck with 4k streams and 4k uploads of your game play exploits!!!
It's business get over it. PS has the biggest install base, Sony obviously doesn't want to risk losing any of them, or future PS owners, and I don't blame them for that. If Xbox owners want to play with mates on PS4, they should've bought a PS4. I have a mate who bet on the wrong horse and now he's jumped to PlayStation to play with us (and because of the great games and content). I'm pretty sure he's not the only one in the world to do this. Sony would be nuts to open up their eco system and lose elopers.
Mashed was my fav on a Friday night on PS2, multitap gaming at its best. Now, Rocket League fo'sure and a bit of Towerfall or That's You (depending whose around).
Dreams is going to be a game changer (and game maker). With PSVR it'll be an experience not to be missed. Imagine creating your own world and then being able to walk around in it.
It says it requires two move controllers, but they also said that the movement is realistic, so they can't be talking about teleportation, so how else can you move as the contollers don't have thumb sticks?
I haven't had any issues with motion sickness yet so will probably give Dirt a go. I don't notice low res so much when I'm in there.
I have PS Pro too and agree, it does make a difference in some games but not needed as I've just spent a month back home in UK playing on OG PS4 and loved it. Can't wait to to try Super Hot on Pro though to see if there's any changes.
I'll be testing Werewolves within too, got it for free after doing a Ubisoft VR survey. Bonus!
Waiting for Dirt Rally to drop in price too as looks great...
What would be good is a relaunch of home but for VR. Tried Bar room VR. First online Multilayer game I've really tried. Met a chap from Wigan and had a blast playing all the games. Great fun. Werewolves within is the next for me and if I like that I'll get Star trek.
Really commend Sony for all the support thus far. It is a game changer and compliments normal PS4 perfectly. There's definitely a future here and recommend anyone to jump on board.
I have about 20 games now and love them. Took it home for the holidays and everyone loved it.
I have to admit though, I played it everyday during the first couple of months but now I use it in spits and spurts. It suits me though and when a new great game comes out like Superhot, I'm right back in.
Really looking forward to MM's Dreams though, Dreams in PSVR will be unreal!
Bit worried this year. Won't lie. Just don't be surprised when scorpio launches at a reasonable price. They want the gasps... I just wanna see Dreams and the word VR!
I cannot wait for this. So excited. Watched every video and read every article (I think). Just gets those creative juices flowing and the sky's the limit with what you can make. It's taking longer because they are now incorporating PSVR support and getting the story mode completed. Can't wait to put my PSVR headset on and walk through other people's 'Dreams'. Awesome.
@Elodin Dual Shock can also be used and any content from any creator can be copied (as long as they allow the content to be 'shared').
Mashed (fully loaded). Really wish they would remake it for PS4! Wrecked on PS3 was good too, but not as good. I still get the PS2 out (with multi-tap) and play it now but my controllers are starting to die. Hoping the new Micro Machines will have some of Mashed's features.
Simples. Too many FPS'. In fact too many games in the same window. New hardware (I've splashed out on VR and Pro myself). Titan Fall burned PS with the first one (over hyped too), some PS users remember these things. Watch Dogs 1 was a disappointment (over hyped and did better than it should've). Tomb Raider burned PS users last year. Investment in PSVR games.
With the Pro, I think you have to look at it like we do with mobile upgrades, do I want a faster phone with better display and is more stable = yes, do I want it this year, am I ready for an upgrade = not yet. Pro is a must for me when I have the cash so will likely get one next year. The whole UHD Bluray thing is not an issue for me either. I just want that extra power as soon as I'm ready. How many UHD Bluray disks are out there now anyway? I have never seen one in any shops (Australia).
I've decided not to invest in games that have been gimped to look the same as xbone. PS4 is clearly a more capable machine, I don't see why we should miss out because devs have 'downgrade' to appease M$ and xbone owners. I bought the PS4 because I knew it was more powerful and expected devs to use its strengths. There are plenty of games out there to choose from, that do use the extra power, and these will get my cash.
I liked it. Great feature but Australian connection speeds are so crap that neither myself or my mates can use it. Not Sony's fault though. Don't know why people are so anti-Sony at the moment, I think they've done a blinding job with the PS4 this year.
I've always been a fan of the PSeye (I use it to video chat with my folks back in the UK), I hope I'll be able to use the new system to chat with PS3 users. The only thing that worries me is that PSeye had some funky tech demoes like this and they didn't go anywhere. Does anyone remember the cool tank tech demo for the eye, you could draw anything and the eye turned it into a tank, looked like a 4-player game too.
Great news about being able to send messages using my mobile. I hate the PS3 virtual keyboard (I went with the chatpad), now all I have to do is send a PSN 'text' (or just use the headset).

Well I can't wait for it. When VR comes to it, I'll be living in my own worlds that I've created!

Can't wait for this. Looks hilarious. By the makers of Job Sim me thinks, so should be worth getting (at the right price).

It looks incredible, but how do you move?
It says it requires two move controllers, but they also said that the movement is realistic, so they can't be talking about teleportation, so how else can you move as the contollers don't have thumb sticks?
New move controllers?

Yeah Batman is cool. Great story. Not long enough though.
Yeah Bravo team is a must for me too. Missed out on aim due to funds at the time.
