In my opinion, it is ok for a game to have microtransactions as its source of income, and the game is free, or have a small buy fee.
What i don’t understand is games BOTH charging full $60 dolalrs (soon to be 70) AND having Mtx as its main cash cow. As this were still not enough, we have games like FIFA who does this, on an yearly basis , with none to mediocre improvements over their last iteration.
You guys are talking whether or not to buy that early access buffed 100 euros packages. I will go even further, why should you buy games on release date at all! AAA games tends to drop pricess massively about one year after release. I got Horizon Zero Dawn Conplete Edition not long ago for just 19 dollars. Just another day saw god of war being sold for about 30 bucks in PSN Store. If you can stand the hype train, this is the way to go!!!
@smelly_jr Another good option would be to separate multiplayer trophies in another tab and untie them from the requirements to get the platinum, kind of like they do for dlcs!
@smelly_jr True! Take The Last Of Us for example, that single player story is a masterpiece, but getting platinum requires you to spend hours on the factions multiplayer mode, and that really isn’t my thing.
For me it was never purely about the amount of platinums but rather which ones i collected. I love my bloodborne, fallout 4 and crash bandicoot platinums, and it was a real pleasure getting them. So when i see players with 15+ platinums and i see that even some of them came from cheap-easy platinum games i really ask myself whats the point of it
