This was my favorite announcement from SGF. I love the look and the tone. I'm not too worried about the gun, even Wander had a bow & arrow. It just hardly did anything against Colossi (Phalanx excepted). I reckon the gun will function similarly.
If modifiers worked for trophies it would devalue the merit of the trophy, but not the act itself (or the point value, for whatever thats worth anyway). Regardless, people should just have fun with it no matter the modifiers/trophies/whatever.
I'm not sure about the PVP only because the product store page says "racing solo, against bots, or with other people online". It also says PS Plus is required. I sent an email to the developer for clarification a few weeks back and never got a response.
@Lavishturtle you, nor anybody else on this site, knows that. He's just a guy running a company.
You know that thing you love? Chances are a terrible person helped in its creation. Maybe they were terrible 20 years ago, or maybe they'll become terrible. Are you going to hold onto that?
@DennisReynolds not....true? The original Baldurs Gate 1 & 2 are real time pause. You'll get no argument from me that turn based is better, but most of the negative comments I read upon the new Divinity announcement went something like "if it's turn based I'm not interested". I'm glad Larian are sticking to what they feel is best. The interview made it sound like if they stuck with the D&D brand their creativity would be stunted.
Not being designated an 'Original Sin' game its likely to be real time combat, as thats how the series started. Would be interested in seeing how they modernize that.
That's pretty surprising. I just finished a DS2 playthrough recently and would never have associated it (or the Divinity series) with that statue. I'm excited for it!
I'm curious when this was actually supposed to have happened. He's a former employee and references "multiple" projects. Bioware's been downsized and currently only doing Mass Effect.
Also, it doesn't matter whether this happens or not. People react to the name 'Bioware' like it's everything wrong with gaming. Dragon Age Veilguard wasn't even that bad.

Re: 'It's So Sad They're No Longer Around': Fumito Ueda Would Have Liked to Remake ICO with Shuttered Sony Studio Bluepoint
Bummed to hear this. Ico is a deeply influential game and deserves some sort of recognition beyond being a game you can stream if you have PS Plus.
Re: Persona 6 Details Confirm Japanese School Setting, 'Supernatural Adventure', and 'Bold Story'
The green & black reminds me of Type O Negative, who were also horror/creepy adjacent.
Re: Persona 4 Revival Includes P4G Content, Confirms February 2027 Release Date on PS5
I'm ambivalent about this. It looks good, but i would've rather had persona 6 than a persona 4 OR 3 remake.

Re: After Critics Panned Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Maybe Sony's Legend of Zelda Film Can Pull It Back
I dunno, I thought the Galaxy movie was fun. It was junk food for the soul.
I'll stick to Lynch, Tarkovsky, and Kurosawa when I need "cinema"
Re: 'The Solution Is to Get Rid of Consoles': Analyst Predicts $1,000 PS6 and a Transition to Game Streaming
Yeah if thats the case I'm out. I own more games now than I could reasonably complete in the remainder of my life anyway.
Re: 'Imagine Being Such a Loser': We've Hit Rock Bottom with Website Dedicated to 'Failing' Games
Like I care whether another person has fun with a game.
Re: 'Everything Will Be Made by Humans': Expedition 33 Dev Says No More AI After Post-Awards Heat
Dont worry - by the time they release their next game we'll have some other asinine thing to complain about.

Re: Embattled Divinity Dev to Host Q&A with Fans After Tough Week
@dskatter agreed. People seem to care more about what goes into their video games than what goes into their food.

Re: 'This Is Going to Be Us Unleashed': Divinity Is Baldur's Gate 3 Dev at Its 'Next Level'
Kinda shocked they stuck with turn based as it seems to be the biggest complaint people have with Baldurs Gate 3.
Not me though - I love that stuff and the wait will prolly be excruciating.
