Re: Mini Review: Master Detective Archives: Rain Code Plus (PS5) - Mysterious Visual Novel Is a Hit on PS5

I played it on the Switch and yeah, a 7 sounds about right. I think it's pretty good but it does struggle from some wonky pacing and uneven case quality. Personally would probably say it's worse than Danganronpa 1, 2, and V3, much better than Ultra Despair Girls (though I think it's the most comparable in terms of what the experience is like) and 3.

I will say for it though that I feel like Halara is such a great character that they need a better game? Not the only likable member of the cast or anything but feel like Halara so far and away comes off as more interesting than the rest that I'd kind of rather just follow them. Probably why they're the one getting the tie-in story.

Re: Gaming Subs Like PS Plus, Xbox Game Pass Aren't Growing At All

I've dipped my toe into PS Plus a couple of times since they overhauled it and just whenever I do I just plain don't bother actually playing anything on it so I've kind of just written it off as not for me. I don't even have the Essential at this point because I'm far more interested in playing alone than playing online.

As for Gamepass I have a year of it that's running out in August and I don't think I'm going to renew it. Again, I kind of just never use it for anything.

Re: Dragon's Dogma 2 Director Says Travel Isn't Boring, Your Game Is

In general in games I'd way rather just get to the next mission and avoid the bloat getting there. If someone isn't a fan of fast travel they shouldn't have to use it but it should always if viable be an option. If you're into exploration for the sake of it, cool, but don't make the game a bore for the rest of us.

@ApostateMage Seems both a weird thing for someone to hope for and a weird thing to get mad at someone over. GTA4 and 5 both DO have fast travel in the taxis. ... And I always use them extensively.

Re: Acclaimed Social Deduction RPG Gnosia Is Coming to PS5, PS4

@CWill97 Potentially, but it's kind of its own beast. I think the way better point of comparison is Raging Loop; the two are kind of unavoidably similar since both are, "Werewolf but a visual novel,", though even then Gnosia has you actually playing the games out while Raging Loop entirely does them through the narrative.

... This being said even disregarding all of this I would SUPER recommend Raging Loop. It's just an excellent game.
