Re: Review: Assassin's Creed Unity: Dead Kings (PlayStation 4)

Yeah I'm still on last gen have yet to upgrade but last summer I decided I'd dive into this series and began with AC1 and played all of them straight through black flag. I bought rogue on release while my friend purchased unity at the same time and he seemed to really enjoy it. I was a little let down by rogue because the story was only about half as long as black flag and most of the other games prior though they did give you plenty side content and the story was decent for what it was, something different anyway. I don't think any of the games are terrible to be honest they all have their own charm to them. I can see why 2 and 4 are generally more of the fan favorites because they both blew their predecessors away at release and made things feel fresh again. However I also had a lot of fun with brotherhood, revelations and even 3 mostly because the combat was so slick and I loved the American setting. Seems like I'm not missing much with unity for now though, and hope they can get back on track this coming year. My rankings from first to last would be AC2, Brotherhood, Black Flag, AC3, Rogue, Revelations, AC1.

Re: You Won't Need to Be a Knight to Nab the Platinum Trophy in PS4's The Order: 1886

What I hate about certain platinum trophies is that in a lot of games that are more single player focused but still include a multiplayer, I HAVE to earn those multiplayer trophies too in order to achieve the platinum which sort of sucks. I just hit level 13 in my trophy count with about 1200 or so total trophies, and only have one platinum thus far......for the Walking Dead season 1!! Lol Plan to get more in due time, and it would be cool if trophies earned you something, anything. Incentive is big when it comes to dedicating time to a goal like that

@shonenjump86 I agree it would be nice to see 1&2 HD collection come to the states. What I love and respect about yakuza though is how every game so far gives you the option to "reminisce" about the events that happened in all games that have come before it making sure even new players can understand it's deep plot from the beginning. When it comes to fan service, in my opinion, yakuza has no equal.

So so happy that this series is still going strong like it is. 10 years now since the original was released for the ps2. I've played every one that's come to the west thus far including dead souls lol which was interesting and funny anyway. Was so happy to hear about 5 getting a western release finally, and hopefully it will get enough support for us to see Zero come to the states as well because it looks amazing! Now if only shenmue 3 could get the same recognition......
