Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 304

@YozenFroghurt I agree that Bloodborne is kinda slow to get in to since it happened to me once and its definitely not for everyone (some of its issues like the one you mentioned can be applied to its brethren like DkS and DeS) but once you keep progressing it'll click in some way. Plus, the co-op is a lot of fun, and the later weapons, especially the DLC ones, are very sick. For some reason I find more players on the main game than I do in the DLC. Probably either due to my level cap or some haven't bought the DLC yet. Ah well. Might have to check it out again this week. Kinda wished the game had some post-game content though.

And speaking of post-game, I might jump to Dark Souls 2 soon as well. I personally had more fun in that game than I did in Dark souls 3 (for some reason lol). The combat is sluggish but there's a lot of stuff to get! Multi bosses are a pain though

Is things like these that makes me wish Sony supported korean developers more than chinese developers.

Although, about Bless Online, apearantly not a lot of people were pleased by it. Its steam score is pretty low. If you want to know why, here's a video about the game's faults: https://youtu.be/uZ7fQs2e_4Q

And speaking of "First on Xbox" games, I feel like this could also apply to early access games. Battlerite and Rivals of Aether are still on early access, and they are actually coming to the Xbox.

@Flaming_Kaiser I think that's a bit going to far. I mean, yeah is better than Legend of Korra and TMNT but even Transformers Devastation has a bit of impact in their combat. There's a game with a similar combat system of Anno called Icey, and in that game, all your hits actually felt like it hit the enemy. Here on the other hand, like with Skyrim and God Eater, it kinda feels like you're hitting the air than the enemy. I mean, even the most mediocre action games like Hidden Dragon Legend has actual impact in their combat wight.

@tameshiyaku I think you're mistaken. The monster is based on SCP 682 from the SCP site, and that's its actual design. Funnily enough, SCP 682 was created before King Kong Island.

@Flaming_Kaiser Wasn't this game announced back in January 2018? When did they started developing it?

@LieutenantFatman Aside from the iffy combat and somewhat slow running animation, I think it looks fine for the most part. And hey, at least it isn't another chinese (VR) shooter or puzzler.

Re: PlayStation China Press Conference Could Be Worth Keeping an Eye On

@SoulsBourne128 Shio was pretty good, and it's a chinese game, so I would defenitely add that to the "good" pile. Would have mentioned Detention as well until I have heard that Chinese and Taiwanese games aren't exactly the same.

@GarySan I agree. These teams clearly has talents. The problem is that while a lot of their games on the console has a lot of heart, you can clearly see that they're lacking any soul. There ARE good chinese games. Is just many of them are mostly from the PC and/or mobile (if you exclude the obvious knock-offs like Arena of Valor and Knives Out).

And I've just noticed that 80-75% of chinese games on the PS4 are mostly 3 hour long (or less) VR experiences that are either shooters with lacking content or puzzlers with very finnicky controls. Mmh....
