I've been thinking about double-dipping on Civ6. I play it on the Switch to the tune of around 300 hours, but the Switch really struggles to keep it going, eapecially on mid-sized worlds, and I don't even want to try larger worlds. Seems like the game could benefit from some PS4 Pro horsepower.
My only problem is I'm used to playing with the expansions, and they cost as much as a regular game even when the base game is on sale. It's hard to go back to vanilla after you've played the expansions, even though vanilla Civ is definitely a full game.
Downloading Subnautica and Rez now. The Witness and Abzu are also on my list. I already have ETG on the Switch, but never really got into it. Great crop of free games, cheers Sony!
@Ralizah I was expecting full price, too. Atlus games have never been cheap as far as I remember. But I always feel they are worth it. I've loved every Atlus game I've played.
Does anyone know if the PS4 version is significantly different from the Switch take? I'm leaning towards the Switch for handheld play if they're the same.
@Razputinman Thanks for the welcome! It's been pretty cool so far. I love the Switch, but there's definitely something to be said for super-pretty graphics and having enough power to run a sim like Cities Skylines without choking up.
After years of being Switch only, I just bought my friend's old PS4. It was a lot of money for us, but I figured there are a lot of games available in the $20 neighborhood. My first PS4 purchase was HZD from the Playstation Hits collection, $20. My second purchase was Cities Skylines for $25. And that's how I intend to continue.
My wife is one of the millions of people who are still out of work because of Covid 19. My workplace has been taking major losses for over a year and letting people go all the time. $70 games? Not this year, dude. And definitely not for the latest version of "Basketball, But With Some New Players And Even More MTX".

Re: Gotham Knights Gets Key Art Before DC Fandome Blowout
@Pleasance It really is. Robin is especially awful. I want to want this, but Robin is making me not want it.
Re: Mini Review: Kitaria Fables (PS5) - Charming Animal Adventure Combines Action with Crafting
I just started this last night, but all I can say so far is that it's insanely cute and has some gorgeous music. I was not expecting music this good.
Re: Mini Review: Foreclosed (PS5) - Cool Comicbook Framing Can't Mask Careless Gameplay
Dark City reference, I hope?

I just started Hades last week. Really enjoying it so far. It's just an amazing production. Definitely not to be missed if you're into roguelites.

Re: Poll: What Free PS4 Games Are You Most Excited to Play?
HZD was the first game I bought for PS4, so Subnautica is my next runner-up. I've heard so much praise for it.
And then ABZU and the Witness for some chillout time.
