FIFA is a deeply corrupt, hopelessly inept organization run by absolute buffoons who assume any game with "FIFA" in its title will sell millions of copies. I suppose they will try to develop the game themselves, thinking they can keep all of the profits instead of only getting a big licensing deal from 2K or Konami, and the result will be an absolute dumpster fire.
I'm probably wrong but it will be fun to see what happens!
For all intents and purposes, Nintendo doesn't really compete with Sony and Microsoft anymore. The Switch is largely in a market of its own, somewhere between hardcore gamers, casuals, and kids / families who want something more substantive than mobile games.
I would guess there are far more people who own a PS5 and Switch or Xbox and Switch than who own both a PS5 and an Xbox.
The real question is why Microsoft conveniently ignored PC gaming, the vast majority of which is played on Windows machines.
@djlard I'm in the same boat, so I just decided to start a fresh game on PS5. Bummed about leaving my original save stranded on Switch, but my gosh the visual difference is so stark and I just wanted to play it all again anyway
So far, I am absolutely loving it all over again. The 60fps mode is phenomenal. I tried ray tracing mode for about 30 seconds, then switched back to Performance. Maybe I'll give it another shot if it gets patched, but I don't really mind if not.
I downloaded and started Witcher 3 on my PS5 last night, and stayed up very late enjoying it all over again. Sticking with Performance mode, since there are so many reports that the ray tracing mode has some issues.
I definitely want the game for PS5 and I will get it at some point. $70 is a lot of money, so I have to budget for it alongside other games I am interested in. Also, I rarely buy games at launch anymore; I wait for all the bugs and subsequent patches to be worked out.
Day-one buyers are the biggest QA for most developers.
It's wild to think the Everybody's Golf / Hot Shots Golf series, a PlayStation exclusive and mainstay for more than 20 years, is now focused on Nintendo and mobile platforms. Even the Switch version has online multiplayer...
As the owner of both a Nintendo Switch and a PS5, I am very accustomed to wide disparities in visual fidelity... and yet, I still typically choose the Switch version, when available, for portability and convenience.
Of course, I prefer PS5 when performance is a must, like FPS and racing.
I'd love to see both - FFVII Remake on other platforms, and a remaster or remake of Crisis Core as well. Heck, just bring over the entire FFVII anthology while they're at it: Dirge of Cerberus and Before Crisis, too. What am I missing?

Re: Poll: Will You Be Watching The Game Awards 2022?
I will miss it live this year due to a prior commitment, but I'll watch the VOD later and skip all the boring / cringe parts.

Re: Sony Reveals Official PS5 Pro Controller, DualSense Edge
I am exceedingly happy with my standard DualSense, but this looks like a neat option if I ever need to replace it.
