Re: Fans Appear to Be Coming Around to PS5 Pro

@Shalooda I get you. I think people want to make a point about people buying it encourages Sony to continue to make the price of their products ridiculously high.

I personally would love it, but just can't justify the price when games themselves aren't even properly optimised, and when Sony is putting in a pretty lazy effort this gen and basically just trying to coast on the success of the ps4

Re: Fans Appear to Be Coming Around to PS5 Pro

@Shalooda They won't sell very many if that's what they charge.

At launch the PS4 was $400 (and then dropped to $350 later), PS4 Pro was $400, PS5 $500, PS5 Pro $700

If it's more than $550-600 they're going to doom themselves to low sales

Re: Poll: Did You Pre-Order a PS5 Pro?

@Shalooda 🤣 Yeah I know what you mean, it will be nice IF Sony can actually release some good first party games, and if those releases are good and survive more then a couple weeks.

The PS5 Pro isn't selling out like the PS5 did, we obviously won't get the sales figures for a while but I'd be surprised if it sells as strongly as Sony might hope.

Square enix has a habit of trashing franchises and dragging them out/milking them beyond the point that causes interest to wane unfortunately.

It's hit kingdom hearts (which was great but for the sake of sequels they trashed the storyline/made it excessively convoluted), and now FF suffers. 16 wasn't the worst game ever, but it's been ages since a quality story existed.

And regrettably the FF7 remakes are just outright milked games for money. And it probably sits with upper management, and some directors too (Nomura....).

Some exec probably went "wow, if we pad out and convolute this game we can sell three games instead!" Not realising/acknowledging the development costs would easily skyrocket, and the quality of the games would plummet.

And I think that's the biggest issue with square at present, they set these high sales targets, they gear up to make huge profits, and then they push out increasingly inferior games with bloat, miss opportunities with their new IPs(so they kill the IP) and degrade their existing IPs.

Nothing's changed unfortunately, and won't probably change ever at this rate
