@Justin113 Your ridiculous comment comes off as a kid who's an Xbox fanboy because anyone that's ever owned previous consoles before know that when a new gen console releases, game devs continue to release games on previous gens for many many years. It's nothing new! The Xbox and PS both do it.. Its illogical to say 1 is better when they have similar specs. If anything it's the Xbox that will suffer, as 1 model has a lower spec that game devs will have to lower quality of games for which is never good whilst PS5 for both console versions has the same specs where it matters most. The real tech savy knew the only major benefit to games for this release gen would be faster load times due to the SSD. Neither consoles will live up to the 4k@120 hype as we aren't there yet, not even on PC, it's not worth the fps loss either. Real gamers don't care Abt such ridiculousness, especially not following a major once in a century/years long event resulting in a major chip shortage that has set production of new gen consoles back over a year. If you really are a gamer, you want your fave games to continue being made and that only happens with sales, which means selling on primary user consoles, aka last gen.
@B_Lindz @B_Lindz @B_Lindz Wanted to correct you.. There is No shortage of silicon, there's plenty of sand which is what it comes from, but merely a shortage of chips due to an array of problems, not silicon tho.The real problem is time, not enough factories to meet the more than 10x normal demand, bitcoin miners, scalpers, remote learning, the factory shutdowns during pandemic , graphic card and console releases, fomo buyers, etc. These factories are usually months behind to meet normal demand but the shutdowns have made it over a year ,maybe 2 and will only get worse. Currently , it's at risk of getting worse due to the possible shutdown of the world's largest chip producer, tsmc, due to a outbreak surge there. Chip shortage seems bad now, but prices will only go up as selection goes down for all smart electronics and cars this year. So demand for new consoles might not be met for another year and half if Intels estimate of 18months is correct because it will take even longer for any new chip factories to be built.
I bet only ppl on the fence are gonna watch streams.Just dont get your hopes up about getting gane early. If you dont know, shipment companies are extremely backed up, so getting a package early is highly unlikely when they have thousands that are late. Ups is being told not to ship for certain major stores as well. Black friday, cyber monday, holiday orders plus the significant rise in internet ordering since march has them backed up to all hell. Ups and fedex in USA are notorious for holding packages to intended date especially during holidays.
