Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition

It's happening -- it's actually happening. After years and years of port begging from series fans, Bandai Namco is finally re-releasing Tales of Vesperia -- a title many consider to be the best Tales game out there. The Definitive Edition is a remaster of the original title that first appeared as an Xbox 360 exclusive. That game was later ported to the PlayStation 3 as a kind of enhanced version, but it was never released outside of Japan -- until now. The art style still looks lovely, and we're sure the fast, satisfying combat will have stood the test of time. It'll boast both English and Japanese voice tracks, too.

Tetris Effect

Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s loveable Lumines is the closest that a puzzle series has come to touching Tetris, so letting the Rez maker loose on Tetris Effect feels like a match made in heaven. Playable in both 4K at 60 frames-per-second on the PS4 Pro or with PlayStation VR, there’s no question that this trippy twist on an industry icon will shine in virtual reality. Despite being over a decade old, Rez Infinite found its true home on Sony’s headset – and the same could very well turn out to be true for Alexey Pajitnov’s 1984 classic.

The Last of Us: Part II

Naughty Dog’s smash survival horror franchise returns with an older Ellie and greater gameplay depth than ever before in The Last of Us: Part II. Picking up four years after the events of the first game, Joe’s surrogate daughter is leading a relatively normal teenage life in Tommy’s Jackson settlement, before things go awry and force her back out into the wilderness – and face-to-face with danger.

Twin Mirror

Life Is Strange developer DONTNOD is back with a darker narrative adventure: Twin Mirror. Published by Bandai Namco, the psychological thriller will see you assume the role of Sam, a 33-year-old divorcee who’s returned to West Virginia to attend the funeral of his best friend. Downtrodden and depressed, he finds himself embroiled in a murder mystery, with your decisions shaping his story. There’s more than a hint of Quantic Dream classic Fahrenheit to this one, which has left our ears pinned back, eager to learn more.

Vacation Simulator

Owlchemy Labs have serious pedigree in the virtual reality space now, and Vacation Simulator is looking every bit as vibrant and irreverent as its predecessor. As the workbots try to understand why humans need to relax, you’ll be free to faff around in an idyllic all-inclusive resort, flipping burgers and playing water polo. This promises to be the perfect getaway for PlayStation VR owners.
