Wondering how long is the PSVR2 cable and can you extend it? As you may already know, Sony's next-gen headset requires a wire to operate, and you can learn more in our other guide: Is PSVR2 Wireless? But now we've established that the cable is necessary, you may be wondering how long it is and if you can extend it. We're going to answer those questions as part of our PSVR2 guide on this page.

PSVR2: How Long Is the Cable and Can You Extend It?

PSVR2's cable measures approximately 4.5 metres (~14.7 feet). While this should prove enough length for most gaming environments, some of you may be wondering if you can extend it using USB Type-C extension cables. Fortunately, we're happy to report that this is possible, although your mileage may vary depending upon length and available bandwidth; you'll want at least 10GBps of bandwidth, and we wouldn't recommend an extension cable longer than 3 metres (~10 feet).

For your convenience, we've compiled a couple of USB Type-C extension cables confirmed to currently work below. Remember, Sony doesn't officially endorse extending the length of PSVR2's cable, so you may still have issues with these cords, although we've personally tested them on a couple of different titles and not experienced any problems:
